Welcome to the course! Watch the 'Welcome To The Course Video' from Sarah and Katie.
You can download the course content which is also in the 'downloadable materials' section to help you work through the course and access the information in the correct order.
Also, please find yourself a notebook and pen which will help you to make notes and remind you of what you are learning.
We use animated videos in all of the lectures. Here's your first video welcoming you to the course!
Part 1 : Let's get started!
Start Lecture 3 by watching the animated video. You'll be asked to complete 4 questions in the animated video so pause the video when you see them and answer them when they pop up.
You'll then be asked to go to www.16personalities.com to find out your personality type - the link is in the 'External Resources Section' below. You'll receive a free report and we ask that you read the report through and make notes in your ideas book of anything that you find interesting and agree with linked to your personality type. You'll see your strengths are also listed - put some of these that you believe are true strengths of yours in your ideas book so you can refer back to them. You might also see some career suggestions that appeal to you - list these in your book too.
Enjoy watching the animated video and working through the exercises above. Once you have completed these, please click on the Needs Questionnaire in the downloadable materials section. We hope you'll find it interesting working your way through the questionnaire and identifying your needs.
Make notes as you work through this lecture in your ideas book so you can refer back to them later.
Part 2: How Do You Learn? Find out your learning style.
This lecture will help you to identify a learning style that's suited to you and it will help you that play to your strengths.
Watch the animated video and then have a go at the Learning Style Questionnaire which you can find in the downloadable materials section. Make notes in your ideas book.
You can then look at other downloadable material which will give you information on 'how you can stay on track and find some grit'. Also there's some information on 'How smart is your diet' which will help you get the nutrients that you need so you flourish.
Part 3: How to develop a growth mindset.
Watch the animated video on growth mindset and then write in your ideas book how you can use a growth mindset to help you.
Pause the video when you see some good growth mindset statements that appeal to you and note them in your book.
Practice using these statements and growth mindset ideas in your day as often as you can so that you start to become used to them.
Refer back to the document in Part 2 called 'How To Stay On Track' which has helpful information on growth mindset.
