Mechanical Engineers have a wide field of specialization in their quest' to choose their career. Their services are required in every field like Automobile, Railways, Ship building, Construction,  machinery Manufacture and other varied industrial fields. However, in order to be a  Design and Construction  engineer in EPC companies executing Chemical Projects, He or She needs to have certain specific knowledge and software skills specific to this industry.

This course is intended to guide the fresh Mechanical Engineers  on their role and scope of work in Chemical  projects. Lectures are set  in such a way that the various deliverables to be generated by the Mechanical Engineer are given in proper sequence in which the projects  proceed  from the beginning. Their role is very important  at every stage and  involves  all the disciplines like chemical, Electrical, Instrumentation, Civil & Structural, HSE and others as also the customer and vendors/ Contractors who supply the critical equipment and facilities.

Mechanical engineers role in EPC of process plants is very tough and challenging as they have to integrate the requirements of other disciplines like chemical, electrical, Instrumentation,  safety and feed  details to civil & structural engineers s also collaborate with them for design of structures, pipe and cable racks, buildings and other facilities. In fact their role is central to EPC  activity thus requiring wide knowledge of codes and standards and expertise in design and engineering software.
