Are you thinking about applying to medical school? Do you know someone planning on applying or already in medical school and want to know what it's like? Are you teaching students who are considering medicine as a future career? As someone who left a non-medical career to apply to medical school, I wish I had a course like this several years ago to guide my decision. There are many resources that address how to get into medical school, but there are far fewer resources that discuss what medical school is actually like.

Medicine is an extremely rewarding career. It is great for those who are curious and wish to be lifelong learners, who wish to make impactful differences in the lives of individuals and society, and who wish to be trained to be a leader in a variety of contexts. Furthermore, the immense variability of work environments among different medical specialties offers a niche for nearly all personality types. I am passionate about delivering this content to you because I think it is important to be as informed as possible before and during your journey through medical education.
