ABOUT THE INSTRUCTOR
Hi there! My name is Terri Kottas. I’ve been painting with all sorts of styles and media such as watercolor, pen-and-ink, gouache, oils and more for over 55 years!
Watercolors are by far my favorite. I feel they are just filled with emotion. They can be fluid and unpredictable, but with practice, also precise and controlled. Sharing the joy watercolors bring me with my students is what art is all about. I’ve taught in both professional and non-professional environments.
Montana has been my home for my whole life. It’s been an amazing place to learn about nature’s beauty. So, it’s no surprise that I mostly focus on drawing and painting animals, landscapes, and wildlife.
A good amount of my work has been featured in several galleries all around Montana, but I am really looking forward to sharing my knowledge all over the world online!
