  • required to have a laptop or desktop computer with the WAVE software installed

Description

Ultrafiltration technology has established itself as one of the most reliable and versatile membrane-based treatment solutions in the water industry, proven across a broad spectrum of applications, including:

  • Surface water purification

  • Groundwater purification

  • Seawater desalination

  • Wastewater reuse

  • Industrial process water treatment

Of particular significance is the role UF systems play as a pretreatment stage in Reverse Osmosis (RO) plants. By delivering  consistently clean and stable feed water to the RO membranes, UF effectively protects the downstream RO system from fouling, scaling, and premature membrane degradation. This pretreatment function is critical, as RO membranes are highly sensitive to particulate matter, organic content, and biological contamination. UF pretreatment has been shown to significantly extend RO membrane lifespan, reduce chemical consumption, lower operating costs, and improve overall system recovery rates ,making it an indispensable component in modern desalination and water reuse facilities.

As the industry grows, proficiency in design softwares such as WAVE has become a standard requirement. This course was built to meet that demand. Participants in this course will develop a solid grasp of ultrafiltration process operations and will learn how to use the software to generate design-ready reports, while also understand the engineering calculations driving every result the software produces.
