Hello & welcome!
In this lecture you will learn...
Who I am and how I came to warming up my voice.
Why it's important to warm up our voice on a regular basis as actors, performers, voice-over artists and presenters.
What the benefits are to you from warming up your voice and taking this course.
About the two dynamic warm-ups in this program, how they are different and why they work together to create a powerful, rounded, resonant, rich voice.
In this lecture I explain the importance of warming up your voice on a regular basis and how often that would be depending on your particular circumstances - Are you currently working in the theatre? Are you a presenter? Are you waiting for your next job?
I also run through how and where to practice these warm ups for best results.
In this lecture I help you write a personal voice goal for yourself that's inspiring and meaningful to you, and help you get clear about why you are taking this program. I've included a simple downloadable form to help you complete this process. We then set some action steps to help you achieve your goal and finally I encourage you to commit to making your goal a reality and making the warm ups part of your weekly creative workout.
In this lecture I give a broader explanation on how to use this warm up and why it's important to start out by doing the exercises in front of a mirror before moving on to using it the car on the way to an audition or presentation or in the rehearsal space prior to a show.
I also explain the two formats to follow in upcoming lectures. A video demonstration and a downloadable audio recording as well as a bonus downloadable transcript.
