This practical and thought-provoking module equips learners with the knowledge, skills, and confidence to address HIV & AIDS awareness within workplace environments. As HIV & AIDS continue to impact individuals, families, and communities, workplaces play a crucial role in promoting understanding, reducing stigma, and supporting health and well-being.
Learners will begin by exploring the range of attitudes toward HIV & AIDS in the workplace and unpacking the social, cultural, and personal factors that influence these views. Through guided reflection and open dialogue, participants will challenge misconceptions and gain a deeper appreciation of the importance of inclusion, empathy, and accurate information.
The module further empowers learners to take action by developing and presenting engaging HIV & AIDS information sessions tailored to their workplace contexts. This includes learning how to plan a session, prepare relevant and stigma-free content, confidently deliver the message to various workplace audiences, and evaluate the effectiveness of the session for continuous improvement.
By the end of the course, learners will be well-prepared to advocate for workplace awareness, contribute to healthier organisational cultures, and play a vital role in reducing stigma and supporting HIV-positive colleagues through education and compassion.
