I will discuss in a lot of depth in this course about the style or the “look” of the film.
Today we are living in the digital world, cameras have changed dramatically in size, weight, sensitivity, sharpness and, in their ability to mount different types of lenses and accessories. With cameras like Cannon 5D and Arri Alexa, focus has moved to digital, and everybody are now talking about the film look and style.
The two major elements in film that everyone is so eager to copy are: Depth of field and Dynamic range
I've covered all there is to know about "Depth of field" in my first course, and today I want to explain to you about "Dynamic Range" ( the ratio between the largest and smallest values that a certain quantity can assume) and why it is important for us cinematographers.
In comparison to still photography, cinematography is not only about composing your frame and choosing your lighting.
To produce great cinematography work we must first and foremost understand our narrative, this is why it is very important to work close to your director.
Don't worry I will give you a few tips on how to become a great cinematographer.
Let's talk about Lighting technique. In my basic course I started talking about a basic 3 point lighting setup, and now I will expand about - Key light, fill light and back-light.
I will also talk about they ways you can manipulate light, so we will get different results while we shot.
After understanding more about lighting you should check the workshop lecture.
So in the previous lecture I've explained about the 3 way lighting setup, how to light your subject and how to use light in the scene you are creating. The following lecture will be a lighting workshop, in which I’ll be showing how to actually employ these concepts and get the results we want.
I
Now that we’ve been discussing various lighting and movement techniques, I’d liken to go over some of the gear that is available to you out there in the pro-arena. Such as: Arri Alexa and the Red camera.
A director primarily gives direction. Without a director we would have no sense of the overall direction of a particular project, and we would therefore eventually get lost.
A director or a good director must adopt a good set of skills in all the fields of filmmaking.
In the basic course we covered just a tiny bit of the world of script writing.
We put a lot of emphasis on storytelling and narrative, and also mentioned how important it is to really have a good story in order to produce a movie. Screen writing (aka scriptwriting) is the art of writing scripts for mass media, such as: feature films, television etc.
Screenwriters are responsible for researching the story, developing the narrative, writing the screenplay, and delivering it. Screenwriters therefore have great influence over the creative direction and emotional impact of the screenplay and of the finished film/ TV show.
I will talk about some software's for script formats and how to start writing a good script.
The first thing you should do is choose your niche. This will determine your target audience and help you make a more effective marketing campaign for your brand.
After you will find the right niche for you, you can tune in to this lecture and see my advise on how to start your own successful business.
I will guide you, step by step, by showing you a real project I'm working on, how to make a promotional video for digital platform.
Make sure you watch all 8 parts of this workshop.
Enjoy!
Color correction has become a huge deal in the last few years in the world of video
In this lecture I’ll cover some of the basic terminology being used in the color correcting world.
So we already talked a little about color correction and the basic terminology. Now I want to show you, using Adobe Premier Pro CC, on a real commercial I've shot.
Make sure you watch all 3 parts of this tutorial.
In the last decade we see great advancement in technology. Now we not only have the ability to shot and edit our own material, we can also create complicated animation, and increase production value a tremendous amount.
Before you'll watch the workshops on motion graphic, I want to explain to you about the software's that are available to you in today's market.
We will be discussing the Adobe After Effects interface and the most common tool to use with inside the software.
We talked about After Effects interface and now I want to show you how to use the software.
Stay tuned and enjoy the next 3 workshops.
Easy to use tricks and tips for After Effects.
Check all 5 tutorials.
Have fun!
Its been a long journey I hope you enjoyed it as much as I did.
See you again in my next course :)
Hello! My name is Yarin Goren, and I am excited to introduce my Advanced Video Course. If you are just on the beginning of your journey, I would recommend enrolling for my Basic video course, however, if you have already completed the basic course, or you are an intermediate level filmmaker who wants to take your knowledge to the next level, you have come to the right place.
In this course I will talk about cinematography, animation, special effects, and just as importantly, how to make a real business out of your video production company.

This course will cover all of the above, as well as additional topics.
So, if you are ready to take a step into the professional world of filmmakers, there is no better time to sign up for this course!
