Step into the exciting world of Visual Effects (VFX) and Animation and learn how creative ideas are transformed into compelling visual experiences. This course provides a structured introduction to VFX, compositing, rotoscoping, chroma keying, motion graphics, tracking, colour grading, and special effects, combining creative concepts with practical production techniques.
The course begins with the fundamentals and evolution of VFX, exploring important milestones and the modern VFX production pipeline. You will understand how pre-production, on-set VFX, green-screen production, motion capture, compositing, rendering, and post-production work together to create professional visual effects.
You will explore rotoscoping and compositing techniques, including static and moving-camera roto, point and shape-based tracking, stereo rotoscoping, hair rotoscoping, layers, keyframes, transforms, masks, and rendering. The course also introduces motion graphics, where you will work with animated text, kinetic typography, motion paths, infographics, logos, morphing, and character-animation techniques.
As you progress, you will learn essential chroma keying and compositing workflows, including Keylight, spill suppression, light wrap, mattes, colour correction, colour grading, green-screen keying, and matte painting. You will also explore techniques for creating fire, smoke, explosions, rain, snow, and particle-based visual effects.
The course further introduces 3D and 2.5D compositing, HDR footage, multi-pass compositing, paint and wire removal, clean plates, sky replacement, plugins, scripts, and workflow automation.
