Description

Course Title: VMware Certified Advanced Professional – Network Virtualization Deploy (3V0‑41.22) Preparation

Course Description:
This intensive, lab‑driven course prepares experienced NSX‑T practitioners to successfully design, deploy, and validate advanced NSX‑T Data Center infrastructures. Through real‑world scenario exercises and performance‑based tasks, you’ll master the hands‑on skills and operational workflows required to pass the VCAP‑NV Deploy (3V0‑41.22) exam and excel in complex production environments.

Learning Objectives

By the end of this course, you will be able to:

  1. Architect and Deploy NSX‑T Infrastructure at Scale

    • Install and configure NSX‑T Manager clusters and Edge clusters (including multi‑site, stretched, and failure‑domain designs).

    • Prepare and validate transport zones, transport nodes (ESXi/KVM), TEP IP pools, and uplink profiles to meet high‑availability and performance requirements.

  2. Configure and Validate Virtual Networking Services

    • Create and manage overlay and VLAN‑backed segments, Layer‑2 bridging, and L2VPN.

    • Implement Tier‑0/Tier‑1 routing topologies including static routes, BGP (including EVPN), VRF‑Lite, and multicast.

  3. Deploy and Optimize Edge‑Plane Services

    • Configure and troubleshoot logical load balancing (one‑arm, inline, SSL offload, pass‑through).

    • Establish and maintain VPN services (IPsec site‑to‑site, SSL VPN client, L2VPN).

    • Manage DHCP, DNS, and NAT services on NSX‑T Edge nodes.

  4. Secure and Monitor NSX‑T Environments

    • Apply distributed and gateway firewall policies, identity‑based rules, IDS/IPS, and URL filtering.

    • Use NSX Intelligence for flow analytics and threat detection.

    • Tune QoS and Enhanced Data Path (N‑VDS) for workload‑specific requirements.

  5. Perform Advanced Troubleshooting and Validation

    • Leverage CLI, REST API, Traceflow, Port Mirroring, and log analysis to diagnose and remediate infrastructure and service‑chain issues.

    • Validate configuration against design requirements, including multi‑site synchronization, inter‑site MTU, and failover behavior.

    • Execute backup/restore procedures, role‑based access control, and operational automation via scripts and API.

Target Audience

  • Network and security engineers responsible for deploying and operating VMware NSX‑T Data Center.

  • VCP‑NV certified professionals seeking the advanced VCAP‑NV Deploy credential.

  • IT architects and consultants designing multi‑site, high‑availability NSX‑T solutions.

Prerequisites

  • Active VMware Certified Professional – Network Virtualization (VCP‑NV) certification.

  • Completion of VMware NSX‑T Data Center: Troubleshooting and Operations (V3.X) or equivalent hands‑on experience.

  • Minimum 1–2 years of practical experience with NSX‑T Data Center deployments and operations.
