Instructor
Zahid Farooq is an expert consultant, trainer and writer, has over 14-year experience at a senior advisory level in the UK, over 10 years of tutoring & training experience and recently wrote a book on GCC VAT COMPLIANCE with a specific focus on UAE VAT Law. His areas of expertise include taxation, particularly dealing in VAT including implementation, tax compliance and GAAP/IFRS implementation and compliance. Recently joined UAE as Tax expert to serve the region and help the businesses in effective implementation and compliance of VAT.
Currently, he is working as CEO of Advent Management Consultancies (AMC) and also advising various organizations in the GCC region on tax compliance. Zahid also served as a corporate advisor, in UK region, including financial sector, automobile and retail sector (Iceland foods plc, Sainsbury's, Londis) to help corporate managers to comply with the local tax laws and international accounting standards.
Zahid has related qualifications – VAT Compliance diploma (ATT-UK), BSc (Hons) in Applied Accounting (UK), MSC Finance (UK) and is an active member of Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) the UK, Institute of Financial Accountants (IFA) UK and Institute of Public Accountants (IPA) Australia.
