  • 1.1 Introduction and Tour of the Main Screen8:52

    Unit 1 - Lesson 1 Intro and Tour of the main screen. This tour will take you through the features along the top-edge of the main screen. This lesson includes a downloadable quick reference guide.

    • Settings (Gear icon)

      • Backup to cloud - Settings must allow app to use iCloud, then backup regularly using gear in BLB app

      • More on settings after you see the main features

    • Search using magnifyingglasses (differences between Passage search and Word/Phrase search)

    • Top-Center Button: QuickNav - Go to book, chapter and verse

    • Manage Bibles (more detail later, but the basics for now)

Description

BlueLetterBible is a free Bible study app for the devotional Bible reader as well as the seasoned Bible study expert. After taking this course you will be proficient in navigating through the app, reading and searching for content, as well as mastering the basic skills to perform deep and insightful word studies in the original languages - without knowing the languages themselves.

This course takes you through all of the important features of the app, from basic navigation through the features to using the app for actual research and study. The course will not only demonstrate features of the app, but it will show you examples and techniques for detailed Scripture searching and word studies.

The course also provides you with free downloadable files, including a quick reference guide that outlines all the most important BlueLetterBible features, and a Greek Verb tense reference that takes some of the complexity and mystery out of New Testament Greek word study.

Apple iOS devices are recommended, and are used throughout this course (both table and phone). The Android version of the BlueLetterBible app is not identical to the iOS version, but both versions offer similar functionality. This course demonstrates the BlueLetterBible app using the Apple iOS device.
