Urban Surveillance Setups

PI Johnston Blakley demonstrates the process he used for a case in a similar environment.

This is a difficult setup as ocean front condos often are.

The Subject of the surveillance never left his community but he did go to the pool for exercise.  This is based on an alleged injury case.

Sometimes a PI will pull up on a case while the Subject is active and will need to quickly assess the setup for filming.

How to avoid having to enter a gated community.  This Subject's home was located on a street that was not conducive to a direct surveillance setup.  The PI choose  to conduct the entire surveillance from outside of the community.

The PI describes the pros and cons of various surveillance positions.

The best way to setup surveillance on someone who parks in the garage is to watch the garage but sometimes parking too close would raise suspicion from the Subject or the neighbors.  In this case, I found a setup outside of the community that was both effective and comfortable.
