Urban Sketching: Illustrate Buildings in Fun & Colorful Way

This class is about learning to illustrate buildings and places in a fun, easy and colorful way by capturing them in minimal detail and striking colors.

It is planned as an introductory class to urban sketching and aims to make the process more fun and less intimidating.

You will learn:

• To explore basic geometric shapes and break down complex building structures into these simple geometric shapes.

• How to draw buildings in 3D without using rules of perspective.

• How to sketch some of the commonly seen architectural features like roofs, windows and doors.

• How to simplify seemingly complex scenes by identifying points or lines and using them as markers or guides to start sketching.

• Lots of tips to make urban sketching easier!

Who is this class for?

This is a beginner level class but it is suited for all levels. I welcome you to take it if:

• You’re just starting to explore your creative side.

• You’re an already established artist and want to explore a new style.

• You’re just someone looking for a fun new project!

By the end of this class, in addition to two colorful illustrations you will also have the skills and confidence to sketch any urban scene or place in this style.
