When I started on Odesk (AKA Upwork) in 2014, I recognized a gap in the market. As a client, I experienced how terrible most freelancers are at expressing their value. In 2017, I deleted my Upwork account to start over from scratch to prove that my methods still work. Without setting up a profile, I applied to gigs and landed my first client in one day. That client was a business that got a deal on Shark Tank. From there, I used my approaches to build a second full-time income in one month and expanded out into another six-figure business.
