A section-by-section preview. By the end of this lecture, you'll know precisely where your biggest growth opportunity lives.
Students will be given a more detailed overview of the essence of the course. They will dive deeper into the content of each section, building awareness on topics that will be explored in each section.
This section will challenge what you think leadership requires — starting with the mindset you're currently running on.
Students will be provided an overview of the areas that will be explored in this section, whereby Section 2 is going to be the STAGE SETTING section, as we will be diving deeper into your "why", as to why you would want to grow into a leadership role. This section will explore the importance of employing the right mindset, the Leader's mindset, when in a leadership role. Otherwise, there is a risk to fail as a true leader. Students will discuss in depth the Leader's mindset framework and the Mindset shifting strategy to ensure they are equipped with the essential and practical tools and frameworks to succeed as a Leader.
Your WHY is your navigation system. If it's off, everything else drifts. Let's fix that first.
This lecture would be used to set the stage and the expectation for the entire course to help you succeed in your endeavor of becoming a True Leader. The focus of this lecture would be to dive deeper to know your "WHY", your genuine, inner drivers to get into a leadership role and the type of a mindset that you are employing at the moment. Knowing answers to your "why" is critical, as your WHY will either move you through your Leadership career ladder or will prevent you from becoming a truly inspiring leader.
A real story from my career that forced me to reassess everything. It will likely make you think about yours.
Dillyara will share her true story and the case from her career life, which helped her comprehend and reassess her true "why" as well as certain career choices and decisions.
Nine traits. Each with a clear rationale. Not inspiration — architecture.
This Lecture will provide a pinpointed view of 9 (nine) key, critical traits and behaviors of a True Leader. There will be given a clear rationale for each trait and behavior to help visibly see the value of each quality:
1. Visionary, articulate strategic thinker
2. Open-minded
3. Strong professional with great people skills
4. Confident and decisive
5. Emotionally mature and resilient
6. Empathetic
7. Empowering
8. Humble and Fair
9. Congruent, trustworthy
This one framework explains why technically brilliant professionals fail as leaders. It will likely explain something you've already seen — or experienced.
Students will raise awareness and get equipped with a practical Leadership Mindset Framework, which clearly shows the difference between the Leader’s and the Individual Contributor’s positions in terms of their roles, value, magnitude, responsibility and the impact, created on people and business. It also visibly demonstrates the difference in the mindset required in a Leadership role. There will be discussed the shortcomings and the risks of retaining the Individual Contributor's mindset in a Leadership role, whereby students will uncover as to why some savvy professionals fail to become true leaders.
Seven behaviors that define a bad leader. Chances are, you've worked for one. Chances are, you're developing at least one yourself.
There will be given an overview of core 7 (seven) traits and behaviors that would qualify Bad Leaders. There will be given an insight into what drives such negative behaviors to make a mental note of those to avoid getting into that negative loop. These traits and behaviors will be discussed:
Bossy. Keeps the distance with team
Poor communicator. "Naked" instructions given vs. proper guidance on what needs to be done
Restrict access to important information
Micromanagement
Blaming employees when things get "sour"
Manipulation
Could be technically strong professionals but lousy leaders
The strategy you can print, pin, or save as your screen saver. Use it every time your expert instincts try to override your leadership judgment.
You will be equipped with a pinpointed, actionable Mindset Shifting Strategy to help you sustain your Leadership mindset. You are welcome to print it out or save it as a screen saver to always remind and guide you throughout your Leadership journey.
Everyone talks about leadership. Few can say — in concrete, operational terms — what a leader is actually expected to deliver. This section fixes that. Three pillars. Every leader's job revolves around them. Miss one — and you'll feel it.
This section is aimed to help students to clearly see what's expected of a true leader and what his role is both in life and in a business setting, and what skills and behaviors could be practically deployed in this role. Students will be offered two specific real-life cases to tangibly see whether Leadership in life requires the same or a different skillset and behaviors.
Students will be equipped with a thorough leadership framework made of 3 core pillars that Leaders' job and focus would revolve around. The framework will reveal as to how Leaders are expected to execute their role and how Leaders are expected and can tangibly add value to business and people.
A practical example that will change how you see your leadership competencies — inside and outside the office.
There will be given a practical life example visibly illustrating that true leadership knows no deference, whether it needs to be exhibited in a professional or a life setting. Conceptually, it requires pretty much the same skillset and attitude to handle personal or business matters. Dillyara will share her personal story to visibly demonstrate the truth of this statement.
You've just been promoted into a new function. Where do you begin? This lecture answers that — with a real business case.
This lecture is an introduction to an intensive discussion of the role and of the expectations of the true leader in a professional environment. Students will be given a specific business case, offering them “to wear a shoe” of a Leader, who has been recently promoted into a leadership role and into a new function. So, what to begin with? And where to start his new job? What is the best and the quickest way to know business and people?
The lecture will introduce students to the specific three PILLARS, the focus areas that any Leader's job will revolve around. Those are: 1) People, 2) Processes and 3) Tools
Leader is also expected to inspire commitment, whereby all those aspects will be touched upon, but more discussed in the subsequent lectures.
Start here. Not with processes. Not with tools. Here's precisely why — and the techniques to do it right.
In this lecture, students will uncover the techniques and the framework as to how to know business via people. They will also be offered an insight and specific benefits, as to why it is advisable to start their leadership journey with the People Pillar and not otherwise.
A leader's role isn't to manage processes. It's to challenge, remove, and rebuild them. Here's how.
In this lecture, students will be provided with specific examples on what it is expected of the true leader when it comes to business processes. The discussion will reveal the reasoning, the value of the Leader, and his critical role in removing, enhancing and/or creating new business processes.
Your team can only go as fast as the tools you give them. This is what equipping a team actually looks like.
This lecture will highlight how leader is expected to add his/her tangible value to his Team, when it comes down to equipping the team with the essential and required tools and resources so that the latter can effectively and efficiently deliver their jobs.
Commitment isn't demanded. It's earned through specific, repeatable behaviors. Here's the HOW.
This lecture will talk about the specifics as to "HOW" Leader can inspire team's commitment.
Every leadership style has a superpower. Every leadership style has a trap. Most leaders only know their dominant style — and pay the price under pressure.
This section will give an overview of the core, four Leadership styles; Transformational, Transactional. Autocratic or directive leadership style and Delegative or hands off leadership style. To really help students see the nuances of those leadership styles, their strengths and weaknesses and when a certain style is mostly effective to employ and when it becomes risky and counter-productive or ineffective, each style will be reviewed through prism of an in-depth leadership styles assessment framework. This will also equip students with an additional practical insight to help them determine their unique leadership style/styles or a dominant one.
Students will dive deeper into the specifics of the Transformational Leadership style and when it is effective to employ it. Students will also raise the awareness of the weaknesses of such style to help them see as to when it makes sense to adjust it in order not to develop a certain blind-spot.
Students will dive deeper into the specifics of the Transactional Leadership style and when it is effective to employ it. Students will also raise the awareness of the weaknesses of such style to help them see as to when it makes sense to adjust it in order not to develop a certain blind-spot.
Students will dive deeper into the specifics of the Autocratic Leadership style and when it is effective to employ it. Students will also raise the awareness of the weaknesses of such style to help them see as to when it makes sense to adjust it in order not to develop a certain blind-spot.
Students will dive deeper into the specifics of the Delegative/Hands Off Leadership style and when it is effective to employ it. Students will also raise the awareness of the weaknesses of such style to help them see as to when it makes sense to adjust it in order not to develop a certain blind-spot.
Four blind spots. Each invisible — until the damage is done. This lecture shows you what that damage looks like, so you never have to experience it firsthand.
This lecture will introduce students to four Leadership blind-spots (outlined below), that even experienced managers get trapped into, and which will be discussed in depth in the upcoming lectures, along with their mitigations strategies.
Leaders are also humans and they can also get into some pitfalls and develop some unconscious blind-spots if they do not have some mindful practices and specific tools and techniques to help them notice and measure their behaviors, effectiveness, priorities.
in this Section 5, we will review some of the most frequent leadership pitfalls, and their potential cost and price to Leaders, as well as the impact they produce on people and business, to help you see the full magnitude of those.
The pitfalls to be discussed are:
1. Ambiguity in communication/ambiguous/unclear business vision
2. Indecisiveness/delayed decision-making
3. Micromanagement
4. Unconscious bias and favoritism
One question from a team member stopped me cold. I'll tell you exactly what happened — and what I did with it.
Dillyara will share the real-world case from her career life about the blind-spot that she unconsciously has developed, without realizing it until a certain moment happened in her life, and which was triggered literary just by ONE short question asked of her by one of her team members. Dillyara will share the full story as to how and why that blind-spot got unconsciously developed but most importantly, how she turned that miss-up into her and her team's growth opportunity.
This lecture is a deep dive into the Ambiguous Business Vision communication blind-spot that some of the Leaders develop. The lecture highlights specific 3 reasons as to why some Leaders end up getting trapped into this blind-spot. And it also shows the impact it makes onto people.
Why smart leaders trap themselves in analysis paralysis — and the price their teams pay while they wait.
The lecture highlights the core reasons as to why Leaders develop delayed decision-making blind-spot with some underlying rationale. It highlights as to why some leaders end up trapping themselves & their teams in analysis-paralysis. Lecture also discusses about the price employees/teams pay for this leadership blind-spot.
It doesn't come from malice. It comes from fear and false assumptions. This lecture names them — so you can dismantle them.
The lecture highlights the core reasons as to why Leaders develop the micromanagement blind-spot with some underlying rationale. Often, Leaders develop this blind-spot under the influence of their false ASSUMPTIONS and some of their fears. The lecture will talk about those driving assumptions and fears, as well as the cost of this blind-spot, primarily, to the Leader's growth and development, as well as the impact it makes onto his people.
The trickiest on this list. Because you won't feel it happening, and we will explore why.
This lecture will highlight the trickiest blind spot - unconscious bias & favoritism. There will be discussed specific 2 reasons and examples of the "unconscious bias" and 2 clear reasons and examples of developing "unconscious favoritism" blind-spot. The lecture gives specific risks and consequences of these blind-spots, if not timely noticed and adjusted.
The communication framework that gets your people aligned — and keeps them there.
We will discuss the specific framework and the communication techniques for achieving better understanding and gaining more clarity about the business at hand, as well as how to best develop an appealing business vision and how to communicate it across the entire company to get people's buy-in and support.
The Lecture will highlight the need in establishing the decision-making process, criteria and the decision-making framework. Students will be provided with a specific decision-making framework to help making prompt good quality and informed decisions.
Three mitigation strategies. Built on the self-reflective questions you need to ask yourself — honestly.
Students will be provided with3 specific mitigation strategies as to how to mitigate the Micromanagement blind-spot. The strategies will be based off of the deep, powerful self-reflecting questions, which any Leader would need to honestly ask himself in a pursuit to really comprehend his/her drives for micromanagement to ultimately avoid or remove this blind-spot.
The Lecture will highlight the key Leadership Rules and Rituals, as part of the "Unconscious bias & unconscious favoritism" mitigation strategies. The rituals will include the "Decision-making Process Ritual" and the "Know Your Team" ritual.
Leadership takes energy. Most programs ignore this. This one doesn't. You cannot pour from an empty cup. This section ensures yours never runs dry.
Section 6 - is dedicated to equipping you with your Personal Wellbeing Enhancement Toolkit. The Personal Wellbeing Enhancement Toolkit is comprised of 3 aspects: Body, Mind and Breath techniques to help you lead with ease and joy!
Leader's job requires quite a lot of energy and brainpower to be able to sustainably and effectively lead, motivate, guide, transform. The section will talk about the importance of enhancing the Personal Wellbeing Enhancement Toolkit, along with the Leadership skills enhancement toolkit, as one can only share, give and inspire when his/her "energy cup" is full.
Those simple body-mind-breath strategies and techniques could be easily introduced to your daily routine. Some techniques originate from the ancient practices of Tibet and Ayurveda. Dillyara selected the most practical, effective and quick techniques to help busy professionals to rapidly restore their energy flow and to quickly calm their minds and emotions to stop feeling tired, anxious and overwhelmed. Those techniques have been gathered from various World-renowned experts in their fields. From Donna Eden, the USA pioneer in the "Energy Medicine". From famous UK psycho and hypnotherapists and coaches, such as Marisa Peer and Paul McKenna, and American Energy healer Jeffrey Allen, and other teachings on how to boost your wellbeing, brain power and inner confidence and calm. The section will include 4 Lectures, each dedicated to the specific area of a personal wellbeing toolkit. Students will also be introduced to a brief Alpha waves guided meditation, specifically created for you and read by Dillyara Dosmakova.

By the end of this lecture, students will know some specific body points, which they could tap, press, strike to rapidly restore their energy flow, reduce pain and calm their minds.
The Energy Shield. The Zip-Up. Two techniques for busy professionals in crowded environments — offices, meetings, flights.
You will be offered mind powering, proven mental techniques, which you could use to:
1) Protect your energy field from any external negative thoughts or energies ("Energy shield") technique.
2) Energy "Zip-Up" technique to boost and secure your energy within. Very much useful when being in a crowded area or office.

To help avoid that, students are given some practical insights and advice as to what to pay attention to and how and when to drink water to immediately boost metabolism and energy level.
The daily routine that protects your performance. Morning. Consistent. Non-negotiable.
This lecture aims to introduce an alpha waves-based audio guided meditation that will be offered for listening in a subsequent lecture. The Lecture also inspires students to establish a new daily habit by including and practicing all the elements of the Personal Wellbeing Enhancement Toolkit into their daily routine (1) morning water intake, 2) body points tapping 3) breathing and 4) brief meditation) to enable the students to feel energized and confident, and ready mentally and physically to dynamically start a new day, to face and cope with any business or life challenge, that the day may bring up to them, with ease and joy!
