Digital is the demand for today. The digital systems work on specific format of information that is binary in nature. To understand a digital system, the beginners must understand this binary information and its relevance. Understanding this binary information and representing it in convenient or simpler form is very important to work effectively in digital domain. This involves studying digital number systems.
The course gives an introduction to digital number systems to the students. The course gives an insight to number systems, the very basic and preliminary topic in digital domain.
The course is designed to give an insight to the basics of digital number system. The basics of digital signal and system will be discussed as preliminary knowledge followed by study of number system involving the number system conversions to make the learner affluent.
Here is section wise gist of the topics that will be discussed in this course.
Section 1: INTRODUCTION TO DIGITAL SIGNAL AND SYSTEMS
Introduction to digital signal and system will be discussed in this section along with a comparison with analog signal and system.
Section 2: NUMBER SYSTEMS
Different number systems will be introduced for study in this section along with number system basics.
Section 3: NUMBER SYSTEM CONVERSION
In this section number system conversion will be discussed with examples.

Prof. Divya Shrivastava works as Assistant Professor in Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering at Shri Ramdeobaba College of Engineering and Management, Nagpur, Maharashtra, India. She is BE in Electronics and Communication Engineering, MTech in VLSI and has worked as a part of INUP - IITB. She has teaching experience of 10+ years.
