Description

This course will help medical professionals gain confidence in their medical English communication and reading skills, specifically with pharmacy and medications.

In this course, you will learn how to counsel patients in English on a wide variety of medication delivery devices, have the chance to hear about clinical topics, learn to pronounce some of the most common medications and medical conditions correctly, and learn the basics of the US pharmacy system. We will also go over the pharmacist licensing process in the United States.

To improve reading ability, there are a total of 5 reading comprehension exercises. These articles are all pharmacy industry articles, so you will gain exposure to vocabulary used in the pharmacy setting and better understand the articles you read.

I'll also provide you with multiple links where you can hear and read medical and pharmacy English for free, so you can keep practicing and get better and better!

Lastly, the pronunciation dictionary contains numerous downloadable audio recordings of pharmacy and medical words being pronounced, both slowly and at natural speed.
