ignite series - a dense solid foam nunchaku that is is soft and forgiving with a more realistic feel
action flex - a flexible metal core with high impact foam for full contact training
front stance - a basic forward weighted karate stance
horse/middle stance - an even weighted stance
back stance - a back weighted stance
fighting stance - a close even stance for quick adaptability
cat stance - a short back weighted stance ready to move again
pull / cross step - a retreating step that creates more room for nunchaku
swing step - a hip powered retreating step to create distance and power
ready position variations - a forward grip on both sticks oriented: high, middle, low, or side
shoulder position - one arm up, one arm across belly, nunchaku over shoulder
double position - holding both sticks in one hand
interception swing - swinging the dragon stick on an angle that will intercept the strike
low scoop swing - using an inwards circular swing that parry the strike at the bottom of the circle
high block - upwards block with the cord
side block - rounded side block with cord
low crossed block - sticks crossed low block
double position - both sticks are held together in one or two hands
double low - two handed downward low block
double scoop - one handed scooping low block
double high - two handed high angled block
double side chop - snapping forward at an angle to intercept a strike
forward thrust - from ready position with the cord end of the stick
butt strike - from ready position with the butt end of the stick
Palm catch - catching across the palm
Armpit catch - pinching the elbow into the ribs to catch the stick in the armpit
double thrust - thrusting with the cord end from the double position
double butt - butt strike from the double position
Shoulder pass - passing the nunchaku over the shoulder with correct alignment

rear hang position - holding one stick, and letting the other hand over the back of the shoulder
armpit position - holding one stick, and the other pinched in your armpit
rear hidden position - holding both sticks behind your back around hip level at a slight angle
parry position - holding one stick at the bottom and the other at the top with the bottom pointed forward
belt position - having one stick in your belt
reverse ready position - holding one stick at the bottom and the other by the bottom in a reverse manner along the side of the arm
double belt position - having both sticks sheathed in the belt
down swipe - from the forward ready position using the cord [horizontal] to swing down on the incoming strike
cross block - from the shoulder position extending the arms so the cord [vertical] hits the side of the incoming strike
Vertical swing - up and down
Tricep braking - using the tricep muscle slow down and control the stick
Horizontal swing - forehand and back hand
side parry - from ready position
high cross swing - swinging forward and out like a windshield wiper
reverse arm block - blocking with the arm in reverse ready position
low scoop swing - inwards circular motion to intercept a low strike
tap parry - using a side parry with the forward stick
sukui parry - using a short scoop block with the forward stick
parry thrust - thrusting forward with the forward stick
reverse backhand - using the forward stick hand to swing a horizontal back hand strike
double back pass - a double position parry that follows the line of attack to knock it off course
collar lock - a wrist lock that is similar to a gi collar choke
shin lock - a scoop block follow-up that digs into the shin bone
high, low, center strike - a high or low strike with the both hands gripping both sticks and striking with the center
snap strike - snapping the nunchaku held together in the hand like a whip
ejection thrust - a throwing motion that launches one of the nunchaku sticks out of the double grip position
block, counter, swing - methodology for using the double grip as a transitory tool, not something to stay in
lat braking - using the lat muscle
leg braking - using the thigh muscles
air braking - braking mid air
horizontal - high, mid, low line
down - straight, angle
up - straight, angle
circle - up, down, horizontal
straight - standard, armpit
figure 8 - shoulder, elbow, wrist
reverse - back hand, fig 8
triangle drills - right triangle strikes
random stop drills - randomly stopping during drills to improve braking
proper follow through - so that the bounce back of the stick has no hand to hit as it returns
end, middle, full stick, cord targeting
targeting - head, collar, hands - elbow, ribs, knee
off lining - moving the hand above or below the line of the impact stick to avoid a bounce back into the hand
recoiling - pulling the hand further back so that so that the stick doesn't hit the hand
back pass - passing nunchaku across the back
hip pass - passing to the side of your hip
leg pass - passing down between the leg
neck pass - passing around the neck

triangle strikes - improving the triangle strike drill [vertical, horizontal, angle]
cord strike choke - thrusting the cord into the front of the throat, mostly to control the spine
crush choke - using the sticks to crush the side of the throat
rear choke - pulling the cord and sticks into the throat and neck from behind
