The contemporary understanding of trauma is vast, complex, and continually developing. This course offers foundational training in the contemporary understanding of trauma through the lens of the ancient practices and wisdom of yoga.
This course is primarily designed for yoga teachers and anyone interested in yoga. Ideally, you are a certified yoga teacher with some experience in yoga. Please note, this course is NOT a certification to become a trauma expert or clinical professional. The intention of the course is to provide a general awareness of the possible impact of trauma on oneself and students (if you are a teacher), and a deeper understanding of concepts, terminology, and conditions related to unhealed trauma. The course updates the ancient practices of yoga to include a deeper understanding of how yoga can benefit the pervasive nature of trauma in our contemporary world.
