This course will teach you everything you need to know about transforming your business idea into a successful startup. Our course will take you through the proces of founding a startup step by step!
Our program consists of 8 chapters, where you watch our online masterclasses, use our templates to create (and export) your own startup plan, receive feedback on every chapter by one of our Startup Analysts and eventually receive an assessment based on the criteria VC investors use to assess startups.

About us (Golden Egg Check)
Our team is active and well-known in the Dutch Startup Scene for over 15 years. We've assessed thousands of business plans, coached hundreds of startups and work closely with almost all of the Dutch Venture Capital funds. We think everyone with a good business idea should have acces to the right resources and feedback to learn about building a startup, because our whole society might benefit from your startup one day. We believe in a hands-on approach. Therefore we do not only offer knowledge in terms of the online masterclasses, we also made custom templates and provide you with feedback, this way you learn by doing.
Chapter 1: Value Proposition
The most promising business ideas consist of concepts that solve an urgent problem (or offer opportunities) for a large group of people. We teach you not to think too much about the solution you have in mind right now, but first do some research on other solutions that might better meet the needs of your potential customers. In this way you increase your chances of success considerably!
Chapter 2: Market Analysis
Once you have an insight into the problem you solve for your target group, we will find out how big the market is. We do this to be able to estimate the potential of your idea. The bigger the market, the more interesting your concept becomes. We also teach you to always think about the scalability of your concept. This means: with as little effort as possible, achieve the largest possible impact.
Chapter 3: Team
Research has shown that the best startup teams consist of multiple members (founders) with different backgrounds. Think of differences in educational backgrounds, work experience but also character traits. In this chapter we will teach you all about complementarity, diversity and inclusion. These are the main pillars for a successful team.
Chapter 4: Competitive Edge
Even though you may have an innovative idea, there are almost always competitors doing something similar. Often this scares off startup entrepreneurs, we try to paint a different picture. A competitor proves that they have found a product-market fit. This simply means that there are people walking around who have money to spend on something similar that you also want to offer, that’s good news! This is why in this chapter we teach you to study competitors carefully and distinguish yourself from them.
Chapter 5: Growth
Growth does not just mean more sales, you can also grow in reach, impact or for example staff. If you want to grow your business, it is important to set goals. We teach you what data to collect and how to analyze it in order to gain valuable insights and achieve your goals.
Chapter 6: Financials
Drawing up a good financial plan turns out to be a difficult part for many starters. We try to explain the basics in an accessible way, so you get more insight into how you can organize your finances. Are you going to bootstrap your startup or are you going to get funding? Together we investigate what suits you best.
Chapter 7: Strategy
In this chapter we summarize all the previous chapters. This allows you to determine for yourself what your strategy is for the coming period. You will develop a planning where you indicate to yourself which goals you want to achieve per phase in order to really start doing business.
Chapter 8: Assessment
In this chapter you will assess your own plan using the tool we've created to assess startups based on the criteria VC's use to either invest in a startup or not. This way you will find out just how attractive your business case is and what aspects should be adjusted to make it even more attractive. Next to that one of our Startup Analysts will also do the assessment on your plan and provide you with detailled feedback.

I'm a startup enthusiast and have been working in the Dutch startup scene for almost 4 years now.
After (unsuccessfully) working on my own startup for over a year, i found out the harsh reality of the startup scene; most idea's fail. My biggest lesson? It's not about your first idea, it's about finding out how to discover the feasibility and potential of your idea, as fast as possible. If you control this method, it's just a matter of time until the right idea finds product market fit.
During my study (BSc. Entrepreneurship and Retail Management) I started working for Golden Egg Check, a well-know startup consultancy firm in the Netherlands. Their software platform and knowledge, combined with my personal experience lead to the creation of the LaunchPlatform.
I've seen hundreds of business cases, coached many entrepreneurs and always find a way to challenge you to get the best out of yourself and your business.

My journey in the startup scene has started a few years ago. After my graduation, I became very keen on entrepreneurship and business development. Throughout a variety of different startup conferences and demo days, I met quite a few startups that I was helping with marketing and business.
This experience led me to Golden Egg Check, a dutch startup consultancy firm, where I help aspiring entrepreneurs meet investors and raise funding. Besides matchmaking with investors, I have been building a community and organise masterclasses for participants.
Welcome! I have. 15+ years of experience in coaching, supporting, and assessing startups. My background is MsC Business Administration, specialized in Innovative Entrepreneurship & Business Development. Since 2007, I've coached over 500 innovative companies, raised millions of funding and trainer in several University/ PhD programs. My expertises are market analysis, investor readiness and business plans.
Within Golden Egg Check, Julia is responsible for marketing and account management. Julia has experience with entrepreneurship, partly due to her own webshop. Furthermore, she has a lot of experience with software and IT as she has always been a bridge between technical solutions and the market. Furthermore, she is creative, enthusiastic, curious and always looking for opportunities. Both for Golden Egg Check and its customers.
