Brian Cavill’s Massage Journey
Being a butcher from the age of 16 gave Brian a great insight into massage when he first began as a sports trainer in the early 80s. Learning from a group of experienced sports therapists gave him a head start and a real passion for the treatment of injuries, both work related and sports.
Thus the journey began with Brian attending many lectures and courses related to massage and the treatment of injuries. It wasn’t long before he gained the reputation as a leading sports therapist.
Being involved at any sporting club, the focus is always to have the athlete in the best shape and ready to perform at their best, with their injury problems resolved in the quickest possible way. The football club gave Brian a great start into sports massage, as well as how to treat work related injuries.
Once the players had confidence in Brian, he was able to practice treatments he had never done, as well as try out his own theories of treatment, with caution and common sense of course.
Brian soon gained a reputation as a top sports therapist and even treated players from opposition clubs once he began his own practice in 1987.
As any massage therapist will tell you, it is tough at first, but Brian’s breakthrough came when a Doctor who treated a large number of work injury patients, decided to give him a try and a challenge. “I will send you my worst cases and if you can help them I will send you a lot more”. Brian began to see people who had not worked for years able to go back to work, all because of his thorough method of massage, which is the same method taught in his “Whole Body Massage Course”.
In his first year of practice, he was also appointed Masseur for Pro Golf in Victoria, which he could only do for three years because his own massage practice had, became too busy to leave. He was treating anywhere from 10 to 16 clients a day, all from word of mouth and doctor’s referrals.
Brian was also asked to teach people to massage using his thorough method and taught for 24 years, training hundreds of successful therapists all over Australia, while still running his own very busy practice, which was moved to a purpose built room at his home in 1990. Both his
practice and massage school have since been passed on to others.
What set him apart from the majority of therapists was his thorough method of massage, developed initially at the football club where they not only treated sports injuries, but also work-related injuries. The football club was the place where Brian discovered the importance of being thorough, not only to avoid the second injury, but also to increase and improve their recovery time.
Brian loved to treat people who had been everywhere and tried everything, as he found this a great challenge to see if the cause of the injury/pain could be located and a treatment found. It was through this desire and passion to find the answers that his “cross fibre release” method along with the many treatments outlined in his “Trained Therapist Treatment Courses” were perfected.
Brian believes his success came about because of his passion to see people set free from their pain. Over the years Brian has treated many who had been everywhere and tried everything with no result and he was constantly amazed at how quickly he was able to get results, just by
using his thorough method of massage. By practicing and using his thorough methods yourself, you too will be amazed at just how many people you can also help.
Don’t miss this opportunity to learn his methods that will set you apart as a massage therapist.
Brian has put his courses together with the therapist in mind that have the same passion as him, to see people relieved of their ailments in the quickest and safest way possible.
Remember: “The more you know the more your business will grow” &“The more problems you can solve, the more your business will evolve”
