Many students want to know where to begin with a language. Most language programs focus on the verbs "be" and "have" but some languages, such as Arabic do not use a form of "be." Other languages such as Spanish do not require subjects. This course addresses the different grammar in your first languages and how to build a strong foundation in English.

This is a basic level English lesson. This is a good place to begin if you are new to English and do not understand many words.  Students will learn how to use "be and have" correctly. You will learn the meaning and the grammar for both verbs. You will learn the spelling for the verbs as they change for different subjects.

Students will learn questions and statements. You will learn the word order and how to make simple and complex statements and questions with "be" and "have." Statements will be in the affirmative and negative form. You will learn how to conjugate the verbs in both forms for different types of subjects.

Questions will be "yes/no" questions and information questions. You will also learn the grammar for answers to both types of questions and how to make short answers in conversation and longer answers to practice the full grammmar.
