Explore the TinkerCAD workspace and tools, including the workplan, view controls, collaboration, blocks and bricks, and basic shapes for 3D design.
Explore 3D navigation and basic shapes in Tinker Cat, rotate around the scene and pan to view from any angle, and customize cubes, cylinders, spheres, cones, and text.
Move, rotate, and scale objects in the Tinker Cat scene using dragging, arrow keys, and shift for speed, with 90-degree movement locks and precise rotation via degree entry.
Balance polygon detail by increasing steps to smooth shapes, mindful of file size, then customize color, transparency, and the hole feature beyond the default look.
Learn to duplicate objects and use the group function to combine parts into a single object, while applying multicolor options and using holes to create custom cutouts.
Master the align and mirror tools in TinkerCAD to quickly align shapes, duplicate, and mirror geometry along x, y, and z axes for efficient 3D modeling.
Master the hide tool to clean up complex scenes, and learn essential keyboard shortcuts for selecting, hiding, undoing, redoing, grouping, and mirroring in TinkerCAD.
Export the entire design or selected shapes from Tinker Card in obj or glb formats for 3d printing, or svg for laser cutting, and share or import files to edit.
"3D Modeling with Tinkercad" is a foundational program for 3D designing and modeling offered by Meu Labs. In this course, students learn how to get started with 3D designing. Also, this will act as a stepping stone for the student to master the art of product design using simple 3D design tools such as TinkerCAD. This entire program will help the kids to start their designing practices with Tinkercad.
