You'll add a SOAP Service Request/Reply activity to your process to receive information from a web service. Configuration requires several elements including an HTTP Shared Connection Resource, XML schema and a WSDL file. You'll then add an XML Parse activity to select one of several defined fields from the service call.
A WSDL file and an XML schema for the web service used in the example are provided as supplementary material. After they are downloaded, the file types of these supplementary files must be changed from '.txt' to .wsdl and .xsd before they can be used.
Also provided is a text file named 'Support SQL' which contains SQL statements for creating the 'cust_info' database table and contents, used in the stock quotes example in the lecture.
You'll configure your BusinessWorks process to be called as a service from an external client. You'll will then issued a SOAP/Service call from a SOAP client tool to verify that your process executed correctly.
An XML schema converting the process into a web service, as used in the example, is provided as supplementary material. After it is downloaded, the file type of this supplementary files must be changed from '.txt' to .xsd before it can be used.
