In this video, you will learn how writing examiners mark your essay.
Starting with Day 1, you will learn and practice vocabulary everyday, until the end of the course. For Task 2, we will start with Uncommon Words (6 days), then we will learn some synonyms (5 days) and finally some useful collocations (7 Days). Learning and practicing these sections (which are located in Resources in every section) will help you achieve a high score in the vocabulary section of the test.
The vocabulary section activities are in the form of flash cards, and they repeat if you don't answer correctly until you learn the words. Good luck!
Throughout the course, you will have 6 grammar lessons that help you get a high score in the grammar section.
Perhaps this is the most important step. Many candidates with good English knowledge lose mark in the test because they fail to fully understand what the topic wants them to write about.
As you know, the examiner gives you marks in 4 categories (Task Achievement, Coherence and Cohesion, Vocabulary, and Grammar) and your final mark is the average of these 4 marks. Vocabulary is %25 of your mark and in this video you will learn about examiners' expectations in this category.
Using Idiomatic expressions will help you get 7 and higher in the vocabulary section. There will be 10 lessons on Idiomatic expressions throughout the couyrse.
25% of your IELTS writing mark is given to your grammar. In this video, you will learn how to increase this mark.
In this video, you will learn about adverb clauses.
Together, Coherence and cohesion make up 25% of your mark in writing. This video will teach you what coherence is and how to improve it.
Learn idiomatic expressions like bury your head in the sand and see no evil, and use come under fire, come at a price, and facts and figures to discuss consequences.
Starting today for 5 days, you will learn Synonyms. Using a different word for the same concept will show the examiner that you have good knowledge of vocabulary.
Planning is an important step in your essay writing. Here you will learn why planning is important and how to plan.
In this video, you will learn about Participle Clauses.
If you are aiming at 7 or higher in IELTS writing, this is the right course for you. There are many reasons why this comprehensive course is successful:
We believe that learning happens when you are doing something, not when you are listening to lectures. That’s why there are exercises and quizzes after every lesson that we teach. To access the quizzes and practice material, go to the Resources. How? If you are on a computer, you will see the resources in the list on the right of the screen. If you are on a mobile, tap on "more", which is under the video, and you will see the "resources" on the list.
We don’t just focus on the structure of the essays! An examiner gives you 4 scores for 4 aspects of your writing: Task Achievement, Coherence and Cohesion, Vocabulary, and Grammar. We teach you all the 4 to make sure you get a high score.
The lessons and activities have been designed by IELTS professionals from Canada. They are college professors with decades of experience in IELTS.
The lessons are given in short videos. We have kept the videos short and to-the-point so that we can teach you important points quickly, without making you tired.
The words and idiomatic expressions that we teach are not random and from some book! They have been carefully selected by analyzing hundreds of successful essays.
We have planned what you should study each day. This way, you can make sure that you can prepare yourself on a schedule.
There are 3 courses in this package: Task 2 Essay, Academic Task 1, and General Training Task 1. So, no matter which module you take, we have you covered. Also, because your access to this course is lifetime, you can always come back if you need to prepare yourself for the other module.
