How to play a power chord, what it is and how to read the tab.
In this guitar lesson Michael, will show you what a power chord is, what genres of music they are used in, how to play a power chord with your left hand, what fingers to use and where your thumb and wrist are placed and why we use 2 fingers as a beginner. We'll look at what our right hand is doing, how to block the strings under the power chord and how to move around the neck. We’ll also play them on different strings and learn how to read the tab.

How to Play Power Chords Without Changing Strings Songs 1
In this lesson Michael, will show the beginner American Woman by Lenny Kraviz, When I Come Around by Greenday and 45 Seconds by Rihanna with the power chords we just learnt. We'll go slowly through the tab the fingers you use what strings and what frets to play, how to move around the guitar neck doing big jumps, counting out loud to get the gap out between the power chords and we'll also learn how to play guitar with overdrive or gain.
How to Play Power Chords Without Changing Strings and another 3 songs
This guitar lesson is a continuation of the previous. This time we'll play Cocaine by J.J.Cale, My Generation by The Who and Sunshine of Your Love by Cream, we'll try them on different strings, we'll go over the tab slowly and what fingers, frets and strings to use on the guitar. Finally, Michael will show you how to read the tab for the power chords quickly using 1 string which will make it easier for the beginner.

In this lesson Michael, will show you what an open chord is and the difference between the open chord and the power chord. We'll look at Major and Minor chords and how to write them and say them when we play guitar

In this guitar lesson Michael, will show you how to position your left hand and arm on the guitar when playing open chords and how to strum the strings with your right hand and all the tips and exercise you will need as a beginner to get you started.
Your 1st open chord E minor, how to play and how to read a chord chart
In this guitar lesson Michael, will show you how to read a chord chart what fingers to use and how to play the E minor chord. He will show you all the problems beginners have with this chord and how to avoid them. He will show you how to strum all the strings with your right hand and give you 3 exercise to practice to make the chord easier to play, we will also go over how to stop you from muting strings. Finally, he will tell you why we use the fingers we do for this chord.

This time Michael will show you the easiest way to play guitar using the E chord how to read it on a chord chart, what fingers to use, and how it differs from the E minor chord, then we'll do 3 exercises to help you finger the chord correctly without muting the strings.

In this guitar lesson Michael will show you the easiest way to play the A chord with the chord chart, 3 ways to finger the chord, how to get to the front of the fret, how to stop the strings from muting, then 3 exercises to help your fingers with the chord.
How to transition between the E and A chords
In this lesson Michael will show you how to transition from the E chord to the A chord, changing the same way every time to build muscle memory. First we'll learn how to change from E to A then he'll show you how to change from A to E using the chord charts and how to strum and count when we play guitar.
How to count out songs and more transitions
In this lesson Michael will show you how to count out a song, and how to write it using chord charts, what 4/4 timing is and where the accents go, how to count 8th notes and bar lines. How to transition the same way every time by remembering the chords and finally how and why we use the capo and how to play the chords when you play guitar.

In this guitar lesson Michael will show you how to read the chord charts if they are turned on their side, what the crosses and zeros mean and how to read chords written in tab.

Now that we know the E and A chord we'll try For What It's Worth by Buffalo Springfield. Michael will go over the chord transition and some tips to make it easier. We'll go through where to place your fingers and play the song using the chord charts doing one strum on each chord and holding for a 4 count then you'll learn how to play guitar with the song strumming on every count.

This guitar lesson is a continuation of the previous, this time we will play Achy Breaky Heart by Billy Ray Cyrus doing a strum on the first count, play with the song then play on every count with the song. We'll play You Never Can Tell by Chuck Berry, this time we'll do the whole song using the capo on the 3rd fret and Michael will show you how to play the chords with the capo on. Then we'll play Love Me Do by The Beatles also with the capo on with a stop on the A chord which Michael will show you how to do.

In this guitar lesson we'll play 3 Is The Magic Number by Embrace this time with 2 counts on each chord and Michael will show you how to count this with the chord chart, then we'll play Silence Is Easy by Starsailor using 8th notes and playing with the song and finishing with U.N.I. by Ed Sheeran with the capo on the 2nd fret, how to count and play with the song.

This is the last lesson using the E and A chords. This time we'll play Paperback Writer by The Beatles with the capo on the 3rd fret and how to let a chord ring for 2 bars, we'll play This Is the Sea by the Waterboys and Michael will show you how to play in 3/4 timing, walk you through the chords and the tips you need.
