Gabbie Ngoh is a graduate student from University of Malaya, majoring in Performing Arts (Drama) and graduated as a director. Since she graduated, she has been actively teaching Speech and Drama, Singing, Musical Theatre and other performing art subjects to students from aged 5 to adults in schools, learning centres and universities.
As a director, she has directed and acted a number of plays in Malaysia and her most successful direction will be her own original musical, “Gouden Roos the Musical”, “The Dollmaker’s Daughter the Musical” and “My Life Is Like Broadway Musicals” which was staged at Damansara Performing Arts Centre in March 2014.
Apart from directing, Gabbie has stage managed a few productions before such as “Much Ado About Nothing”, “KIV:2”, “Momo & The Time Thieves”, “Napolean Hill the Musical” and etc. She acted as Nora the main lead in “The Doll’s House” in 2009 and as an ensemble role in “Woyzeck”, a translated German play. Other than stage plays, she also starred as a mean secretary in one of the episodes of “The Adjuster”, a local Chinese drama series and acted in a few local advertisements two years ago.
Currently Gabbie is the founder of Stage 69 Productions. She has been actively training teachers and producing plays, not just for her academy, but also for several private schools, international schools, universities and centres.
Gabbie has also been trained under a Hollywood acting Coach, Jeanne Hartman in Hong Kong, Ralf Reuker, a Biomechanics acting specialist from Australia and also took Directing and Broadway Musicals training in NIDA, Australia. With the passion of performing arts, Gabbie would love to share her knowledge and interest with everyone who wish to learn.
