Description
The Five Tibetans are practiced worldwide, but there is a lot of misinformation out there and very few people have access to the original 1939 Peter Kelder instructions. This course strives to change that. Krista Power was first introduced to the Five Tibetans in March of 2016 and was instantly captivated. Setting off on a journey to learn all she could about this ancient practice, Krista began researching, practicing and huting for the original instructions. A series of events led Krista to an original 1939 copy of Peter Kelder's book The Eye of Revelation, the book that started it all. Realizing the value of the information she now possessed and determine to share it, Krista wrote her own book, which was published in April 2019. Based on Krista Power's book The Original Five Tibetans, An Exploration of the Historic 1939 Peter Kelder Book, The Eye of Reveation, this course guides you through this ancient practice of rejuvenation the way it was originally intended to be done. You will learn Peter Kelder's authentic 1939 instructions for this practice, where it came from, why we do it and what it's all about. A teacher and practitioner of both Yoga and the Five Tibetans, Krista is passionate about this practice and is driven to share her knowledge and experience and ultimately to keep Peter Kelder's original work alive. Krista will discuss the fascinating background story and history of the Five Tibetans, the energetic system the practice is based on (the Vortexes), how to perform each movement in detail, how to set up your own daily practice, tips for success and more. Often put under the Yoga umbrella, Krista will also offer her thoughts on why she does not consider the Tibetans to be Yoga. Join Krista for this engaging, informative course and begin your own journey toward "youthification".
Who this course is for:
- Anyone can learn the Tibetans, however it is a practice of "youthification", so it is more suited to those over the age of 25. It can be very beneficial for seniors.
Instructor
I am an experienced Yoga teacher in Edmonton, Canada currently holding E-RYT500, YAA 750, AFLCA mind/body and YACEP designations. In addition to my Yoga certifications, I am a Registered Reiki Practitioner with the Canadian Reiki Association and I am the author of The Original Five Tibetans.
I am passionate about practicing and teaching Yoga and the Tibetans and believe wholeheartedly that everyone can do these ancient practices. I began practicing Yoga in 2001 and earned my first teaching certification in 2013. I have taught over 4000 classes, including Hatha, Hatha-Flow, Yin, Restorative and Chair Yoga. My classes are very breath-focused with lots of options and modifications to suit all levels.
In 2016, I learned of a practice called the Five Tibetan Rites and was instantly captivated. I began researching this ancient practice and was disappointed to discover that there was no consistency between the many written works available about the Tibetans. I was determined to find the "real" instructions for this practice, and in 2017 I did just that. A series of events led me to an original - and very rare - 1939 book by Peter Kelder entitled The Eye of Revelation. I was thrilled to finally have the authentic instructions for the Tibetans and could now perform the practice the way it was meant to be performed. Realizing the rarity and value of the information I possessed, I decided it needed to be shared. What started out as a plan to teach workshops evolved into a 117 page book. I put my heart and soul into my book. It took me a year to write and in April 2019, The Original Five Tibetans was published. Once my book was published, I began teaching workshops and sharing the original practice of the Five Tibetans. I have immense respect for Peter Kelder's 1939 work and I am driven by the desire to keep his original instructions alive. I am passionate about the Tibetans and I believe this knowledge needs to be shared.
Please join me on a journey of "youthfication" as I guide you through the Original Five Tibetans. Also check out my Yoga in 30 course, where I will introduce you to several different formats of Yoga.
