Description

This Intermediate/Advanced class takes the student on a journey back through some of the most famous myths and legends that this country has to offer. Laura weaves the grammar seamlessly into the lessons so that the students are learning or revising key concepts while having fun and building vocabulary. The Copula in all its forms features heavily in this lecture series. This is a fast-paced course for those who have completed the Intermediate Level and have a good understanding of the verbal noun and adjectival agreement.

This course is a stepping stone to the Ultra-Advanced Myths and Legends course which delves more deeply into the stories covered here. It familiarizes students with the plot, characters and recurring themes.

The Genitive Case Singular and Plural is referenced throughout and it is advised that students have completed the Advanced Courses in this series before signing up to this course.

Students may consider reading abridged versions of these wonderful tales once they have completed this course.

This course aims to equip students with the confidence to start reading by themselves.

Laura speaks Munster Irish but her pronunciation is clear and easily understood by learners of all dialects.

She is open to questions regarding the content of the course and any grammar questions that students may have.

This course is best suited to students who have completed previous courses which explain grammatical concepts in depth. It is suitable for those wishing to brush up on the Copula, the Genitive Case and more concepts covered therein, to build vocabulary and to expose themselves through reading to the flow of of the Irish language.

The tests at the end of each lecture should be repeated until the students can answer them automatically and without thought.

Best of luck and welcome on board, Laura.
