Well done in making this investment in You! Here’s how to make the most of the Happenista Project.
Goals vs Intentions
At the start of any process you are always encouraged to set goals for yourself. After all if you dont know where you are going, how can you get there? I want to encourage you to set ‘intentions’ rather than goals at the start of this journey. Watch the video and then work through the Happenista Worksheet 1 in the resources section.
Happenistas use technology to accelerate their career. Technology comes in many forms: from social media, to blogging to photography and so much more. Our experts will educate you about how they use technology, and more importantly challenge you to find the medium that will help you get your message out in the world.
Not sure how technology can help? Imagine you have been in your role for a number of years of feel boxed in, perhaps you are being overlooked when promotion time comes, or feel that the only way to get the recognition you to deserve is to move company. Blogging can really help to share your thoughts, knowledge and experience with a wider audience, if you become a recognised expert or go to person in your sector, your company will have to listen, alternatively you’ll be headhunted by an organisation that recognises your worth!
Or maybe you run your own company and you’re excellent at what you do, but not enough people know about it. Consistent, authentic social media is a great way to extend the reach and awareness of your brand. The media and your clients need to be able to find you and social media can help with that.

According to a recent study Professional Networking makes us feel ‘dirty’
It seems that when we engage in relationships that are self-serving, they don’t always align with us morally and we associate morality with cleanliness. So if we are engaging in activities that we see as immoral, they are dirty.
The key then is to work out how to network in a way that connects with our values and authenticity.
The fantastic Heather White from Smarter Networking, shares some tips to do just that.
You can find Heather on Twitter too https://twitter.com/HeathersNet
After you've watched the video, do complete that activities contained in Happenista Worksheet 7, you'll thank me.
