If you do not give your clients corrective exercises between your treatments you need to start. If not, you are doing your clients and your business a great disservice. If you do not know what exercises to give them or you give them way too many exercises then this course will simplify this for you. Simple exercises will also give you excellent client compliance. When clients are told to do 30 reps of X.Y and Z exercises they most probably wont end up doing them. I know I wouldn't.

Ok, let's get started.
If you have been diagnosed with X-rays, MRI's or been told that you have a disc bulge, are bone on bone, have degenerative disc disease or any other name to your pain dont worry. Millions of people have these conditions known as pathologies and are completely pain free. Thats because pain and muscle and joint damage are not directly linked.
These are the repetitions and how often you should do these for yourself and prescribe them to your clients.
This is the most powerful neck exercise to fix virtually all neck pain. So, as a massage therapist you will now know exactly what exercise to give to your massage clients after you have treated them so that they get better between your treatments. You will see dramatically better results with your clients that come to your with neck pain-and of course it will be your own go-to exercise for when you have neck pain or stiffness
If there is pain that radiates across the shoulder from the neck or even into the arm, maybe even pins and needles or numbness, here is what to look for so that you know if the condition is getting better or worsening.
If the pain has not resolved completely by doing the first exercise or its one sided, then you can add this exercise as well.
Normally what you will see is the exercises will give you back your neck movements in all directions but if you are still restricted and painful in rotations then you can do this exercise if the other ones have not resolved them.
What if the pain is too severe to do the seated exercises? Do this instead
Once you are out of pain, now you can simply focus on getting full range of movements. Here is how to check your neck range of movements and what to do.

So, you have a massage client that comes to see you with shoulder pain, rotator cuff tears, impingement syndrome or any other label they may have for you. Similarly as a massage therapist you need to take care of your own shoulders due to the repetitive nature of massage so that you need to keep them healthy and pain free but what do you do for them? How do you know if one shoulder is tighter than the other? And when you do know, what exercises do you do for them? Here I go through what you need to do to get your massage clients better between treatments by giving them this exercise and also what you need to do for your own shoulders to make sure that you dont get injured or, if you already have shoulder pain, what to do to become pain free.
So, you have a massage client that comes to see you with elbow pain such as tennis elbow or maybe you are suffering from elbow pain. What exercises do you give them? How do you treat the pain if the pain in the elbow is coming from the radial nerve and then what exercises do you do or prescribe? Here are the answers to those questions so that you can do them on yourself or teach them to your clients.
Once again, what do you do for wrist pain? Here I go though what needs to be done to resolve wrist pain.

Now lets look at the lower back exercises and referred pain such as sciatica, piriformis syndrome, buttock pain etc and what you need to do for them-and yourself to become pain free. You will learn exactly the same exercises that I gave to my clients for over 25 years and saw outstanding results time after time and you will too.
I personally have prescribed these exercises to thousands of clients that came to see me with lower back pain, buttock and hip pain or sciatica and it was my greatest therapeutic tool in my therapeutic toolbox. It simply took the pressure off me to have to fix their pain with my treatments because I knew that these would do 95% of the work for me. I also have used these for myself hundreds of times if I felt any sign of lower back pain and used them to remove my back pain successfully each and every time.
This is the same exercise that can be done from a standing position whenever you cannot do the previous ones lying down. For example, if you work where you have to stand up, are in the garden bending forwards a lot or you are out shopping and you start to feel your lower back pain. This is what you do.
Here is an alternative to use if the pain was not completely resolved or not resolved at all and its one sided and perhaps with symptoms radiating into the hip, buttock or back of the leg. I use these exact same exercises whenever I have had any back pain and every time they fix my pain. Not only will you use these for your clients that come in with back pain but you will also use these like me for your own back pain and can teach your friends and family them as well if need be.
You may have had lower back pain that is worse with flexion, such as bending forwards to pick something up off the ground. You have removed the pain by doing the opposites but now we need to lengthen out those structures again to regain full range of movement just like we did with the neck. This is what and when you do to start bringing back flexion again.

What do you do for someone that comes in for hip pain? What exercises do you give them? How do you know if it's coming from the lower back and not the hip? All of these questions are answered in this section and more.
No matter what diagnosis your massage client tells you they have with regards to knee pain such as arthritis, cartilage degeneration , runners knee etc you will use these two exercises to help them remove their pain and get full function. of course, you will do the same thing for yourself if your knees are painful at any stage.
These corrective exercises will help stiff and painful ankles. How do I know? Because I resolved my own ankle pain and stiffness and also my chronic achilles tendon pain. I now walk completely pain free and perform these corrective exercises before I go out for my daily walk. It works wonders!
