This is the video course for ICSE Board Students of Class 10. This course will cover and provide the detailed explanation of the World History part, The Contemporary World, Section of ICSE Board, Class10.

This course will cover the five important Chapters of the Contemporary World, Part:-


1- First World War.
2- Rise of Dictatorship
3- Second World War.

4- United Nations. And it’s Agencies

5- Non- Aligned Movement.


This course covers a detailed analysis of the whole above mentioned topics in simple and effective language. In this course I have made my best attempt to simplify these difficult topics in simple way to understand.

The First World War and the Second World War and two crucial events in world history. World War I was fought between the Allied Powers and the Central Powers. The main members of the Allied Powers were France, Russia, and Britain. The United States also fought on the side of the Allies after 1917.

The first world war itself sowed the seeds for Second World War, primarily because of the humiliating Treaty of Versailles. We shall see the causes and consequences of the Second World War (WWII) in this video Course.

This course also provides a detailed information about the United Nations and its various agencies. Special Emphasis has been made on the role of United Nations in establishing international peace and security in the world and the course also discusses about the role of it's different agencies in maintaining peace in the world.


In the chapter of non aligned movement, the role of India under the leadership of Jawaharlal Nehru played a leading role in reducing cold war tension between America and Ex-Soviet Russia. The non-aligned movement is still relevant in the present time for maintaining unity and coordination among different countries of Asia Africa and Latin America.
