The software comes with a rich base of features with ability to extend functionality with apps. It also contains ready made apps for specific use cases such as Splunk Enterprise Security heavily used in Cybersecurity today, and Splunk Machine Learning Toolkit to train and apply machine learning models.
The Splunk Essentials Course provides the foundational knowledge needed to start your Splunk journey. This course uses a concept-based approach to discuss and demonstrate some of the most important aspects of the Splunk platform. It presents a holistic view of the Splunk Platform and is meant primarily to take anyone with no knowledge of Splunk and build a foundation that will help them to easily grow a career and take Certifications. There is a connection between the different modules from introducing Splunk with use cases to understanding the building blocks (Splunk instances and components), deployment, installation and the different ways to use and administer Splunk. The course also includes modules on how to index and extract fields from data as well as concepts of Splunk Search Processing Language (SPL).
