Description

Hi,

I'm Ofer Dvir, a long-time system designer and live sound FOH/MON engineer on major touring productions. Over the years, I've designed and tuned systems for everything from intimate clubs and theaters to massive arena and festival stages, working with top-tier artists and productions around the world.

In this course, I’ll walk you through the exact way I approach sound designing a line array system for any venue—from the very first site survey to final deployment. We’ll dive deep into investigating every aspect of the setup before we commit speakers to the air, because those early decisions make or break the final result.

We start with Soundvision by L-Acoustics®, the industry-leading software for predicting and visualizing speaker deployment. You’ll learn how to model complex arrays accurately, optimize coverage, avoid problem areas, and make informed choices that save time and headaches on site.

Then we move to LA Network Manager®—the powerful tool for real-time amplifier control, system tuning, and monitoring. I’ll show you practical workflows I use on tour to get consistent, high-quality sound night after night.

By the end of this course, I hope you’ll walk away with the confidence and tools to sound design systems that truly stand out. It’s often the little details—precise array splay angles, strategic delays, careful EQ choices—that add up to a dramatically better end result, even when everyone seems to be “hanging the same boxes.”

*needed to say this is not any official L acoustics affiliated program or any relation to them and I strongly suggest going to their official training - its fun and has different things than what I talk here

Pair this course with my “The Complete Guide to Sound Design and Tuning Using Smaart®,” and you’ll have a complete, professional workflow—from prediction and deployment to measurement-based tuning and optimization. Together, they’ll put you on the path to consistently better-sounding shows.

I’m excited to share these techniques with you so let’s get started!
