FUN UPDATE:
On February 20th, I received an email from Fiverr asking me to remove the star emojis from my Gig description. I had added them five years ago to reflect my 5-star profile, but apparently, Fiverr had since updated its guidelines to prohibit the use of star emojis in seller descriptions.
At first, I didn’t understand what the email was referring to—after all, those stars had been there for years! So instead of removing them, I mistakenly kept rejecting the request. After a few back-and-forths, my responses came across as uncooperative, and Fiverr understandably downgraded my profile from Top Rated to Level 1. Ouch.
The downgrade did affect my sales, but Fiverr is still one of my main income sources—so we’re still in business. Yay!
