In this article you are going to know the whole content of course.
In this lecture we are going to know the importance of quantity surveying and its applications in business.
You are going to know how it could be risky to miscalculate the right quantities and most times it leads to loss in business. So this course is so important to make success for your business or in your career.
In this lecture we are going to learn some basic definition in quantity surveying field to take your first step in this course.
In this lecture we are going to know units of measure for each item.
In this lecture we are going to revise important commands which we will use in our course and we are going to learn some commands & tips and tricks which will help us boost our performance in AutoCAD.
In this lecture we are going to revise basic Excel functions which are important in our course to get accurate and arranged results in a simple way at the same time.
In this lecture we are going to talk about a brief of structure objects. It will give us an overview of these objects as we make a progress in our course.
In this lecture we are going to know the systematic ways of how structure loads are transferred through different elements and why its important for quantity surveying.
In this lecture we are going to know any drawing elements, how to navigate through drawings. It will put you on the first step of doing any process with drawings.
From this lecture we are going to start working on surveying the first concrete element.
Concrete pile is a column which is driven into the ground or otherwise placed, may be a precast pile, reinforced pile, or prestressed concrete pile. Concrete pile function is to transfer load of structure to a deep suitable soil for foundation.
Excavation is a work process of removing a specific volume of soil in order to make our foundations works like ( Isolated footings or raft – Replacement soil ).
Replacement soil is a compacted soil consists of sand and gravel with a specific ratio to replace the old week soil in order to stand out loads of structure.
Raft or mat is a one-piece foundation element, which is used to support structure and transfer its loads to soil or piles which will finally loaded on soil.
A reinforced concrete column is a structural member designed to carry out compression loads, composed of concrete with embedded steel frame to provide reinforcement.
Fill soil is a sand used to fill remaining volume after excavation and foundation concrete works.
Ground floor concrete is a low thickness layer of plain concrete used as a clean base to establish floor finishing.
Slab on grid is like the ground floor concrete, but it’s made of reinforced concrete. It used also for supporting ground floor walls.
Top room is the small room above stair. It is used to cover stair from rain or any other matter.
Welcome to Quantity Surveying online course. This course is focusing on practical application of concrete quantities estimation for residential buildings. We are going to use AutoCAD & Microsoft Excel. You should apply all what you learn during lectures. So we provide you with downloadable work files of all lectures.
This course is made mainly for engineers in construction management industry to estimate structure quantities.
This course is a field oriented course. It is full of examples of real projects. We are going to learn how to read structural drawing. We are going to learn some AutoCAD advanced skills in an easy way which will help fasten your performance of surveying. We are going to learn some Excel skills that will help you a lot to make clear, simple and accurate calculations.
We are going to learn the fundamentals of quantity surveying, so that you can estimate quantities of any element.
The surprise is that you don't have to save area or volume complicated equations in mind at all.
We are going to train on all concrete structures elements (Foundations – Columns & Walls – Slabs).
Most of this course is written in (English) and presented in (Arabic).
Finally, I want you to know something very well, that you are going to have 4 years of experience and more than 3600 AutoCAD working hours in just one course. Not only that, but also your performance will be unusual compared to your colleagues.
So it’s a good opportunity to save your valuable time.
If you divide course time on 4 years, the time of one year of experience will be nothing. It’s a big deal, so don’t waste your time thinking and ENROLL NOW .
