Beverly Vanover received her MS Degree in Community Counseling from John Brown University in Siloam Springs, Arkansas. She was born in California and moved to Arkansas with her family as a child. She currently lives in northwest Arkansas.
Her experience in the field of mental health includes working as a community-based therapist, school-based therapist, hospital-based therapist and therapeutic day treatment therapist. She has experience facilitating mental health and 12-step program groups for the community, as well as in the institutional setting, is a distance credentialed counselor (BC-TMH), certified clinical trauma professional (CCTP) and a nationally certified counselor (NCC).
She is keenly interested in continuing to strive to provide help and psycho-educational opportunities within the profession of counseling to facilitate the delivery of services to people who would otherwise not seek or get the counseling they may need and want. She is committed to eliminating the stigma people face when seeking help for their mental health by providing ethical online counseling and psycho-education to everyone with access to this growing professional modality. She is confident she can accomplish these goals by contributing to the ongoing education of colleagues.
Currently working as a contracted therapist with three online platforms, she has a full-time caseload treating adults and works from her home office. She is a Licensed Professional Counselor in Arkansas, Missouri and Texas. She has developed a passion for learning about, discussing and treating symptoms of emotional dysregulation often associated with codependency, love addiction and attachment/abandonment wounds that create fear of intimacy and toxic relationship problems.
