Learn to weave a beaded purse as a beginner, covering popular bead types, essential tools, and materials. Explore basic and advanced techniques and gain a glimpse into future lessons.
Gather red, white, and yellow bag beads in 6mm, 8mm, and 5mm sizes with 0.5mm thread or fishing line and scissors to start beading.
Weave the foundation of the purse with red, white, and yellow beads on fishing line, using cross-thread steps to build a balanced base and turn as you add beads.
Learn turning techniques to build a beaded purse base by placing beads in sets of three, cross thread, and alternating left and right lines to form a stable foundation.
Change colors by using red beads and a fishing line; pass through holes without crossing, use a zigzag to the nearest bead, and switch to a new line when needed.
Create a triangular beaded shape by slanting the fishing line, crossing beads in groups of three and two, then tightening for a firm finish.
Measure your project against the phone to determine size, then join the two sides with beads and cross-thread the lines, pull tight, and seal to finish the purse.
