This course is designed as an additional resource and companion to my full TESOL course. It serves as an introduction for anyone who is curious about the world of Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages but is not yet ready to commit to the complete program. Here, you will gain an overview of the TESOL field, explore some of the most important teaching methods, and begin to understand the practical skills needed to succeed as an ESL teacher.
The purpose of this course is to give you a starting point. You will develop a clearer idea of what it means to teach English both at home and abroad, and how language teaching connects to culture, communication, and classroom practice. While this course does not replace the depth of the main TESOL program, it will give you the background knowledge and confidence to take the next step in your teaching journey.
If you are new to TESOL, this course will help you understand what to expect from the profession. If you are considering taking the full TESOL course, this introduction will act as a preview, giving you insight into the skills, concepts, and approaches you will explore in greater detail later on.
By the end of this short course, you will have built a foundation in TESOL and will be prepared to continue learning with the full program.
