  • Grid System & Create a Simple Steel Column2:41

Set up a grid system in Tekla Structures and create a simple steel column, snapping to grid intersections and adjusting top and bottom elevations.

  • Editing Column Length & Simply Copying4:47

Select and delete sample columns, create new ones at B-1 to E-1, and modify lengths in the position tab; copy columns using origin, destination, and dx/dy values, including Copy Special>Linear.

  • Creating Views2:02

Create all views at once from the grid using the along grid lines option, then tile vertically or horizontally to view Grid-4, Plan +3600, and the 3D view.

  • Create Simple Beams2:14

Restore grid 4 to named views, tile windows, and view plan in the 3d model. Create steel or concrete beams, select profiles, and add secondary beams between primary beams.

  • Simply Create Points & Secondary Beams2:14

Learn how to add points at any position, copy points to divide a 7.2 m span into four parts, and snap to points to create secondary beams in Tekla Structures.

  • Using Selection Filter, Changing Grids & Views2:36

Use the selection filter to pick frames or steel beams. Move elements with linear, adjust story heights to three meters, and update grids to 3000, 6000, 9000 while refreshing views.

  • Using Construction Plane3:42

Learn to use construction planes in Tekla Structures to copy framing to higher elevations, adjust top levels, and align roof slope by moving and rotating beams with a work plane.

  • Copying Frames and Create a Sample Component (Macro)4:59

Copy framing and modify beam properties, set column elevations to 9000 millimeters, and add vertical braces using macros such as brace middle simple and brace corner simple.

  • Part Position Depth2:12

Learn Tekla Structures part position, using the at depth setting to place a part relative to the part reference line between the handles, with front, middle, or behind options.

  • Creating Brace

Requirements

  • Basic engineering knowledge is required.

Description

TEKLA STRUCTURES is the most constructible structural software for BIM. With it, you can create, combine, manage, and share accurate multi-material 3D models full of construction information.

You can use Tekla Structures for design, detailing, and information management from conceptual planning to fabrication and construction on site. The Beginning of this course will provide you with the basic knowledge and skills to get you started with Tekla Structures. As the course progresses, you will develop your Tekla Structures abilities with a key focus on steel models, working through a series of practical examples and exercises.

The Creator of the course, MEHMET ÖNER YELEĞEN, is an experienced engineer and owner of the MÜHENDİS AKADEMİ, which is a technical Youtube channel specially created for engineers. This course will teach you how to navigate and use the interface, model a steel structure, generate drawings and reports, and how to set up and maintain your system, giving you the confidence and skills to be more productive and efficient.
