Course content

9 sections81 lectures5h 32m total length
  • Overview8:51

Learn to set up a Tekla Structures environment, create new models, and manage steel and concrete detailing, drawings, and reports, then perform analysis and design with IFC imports and exports.

  • Grids7:59

Create and modify grids in Tekla Structures by setting x, y, z coordinates, origin, and labels (1–5, A–E), adjusting distances and extensions with magnetic snapping to add or delete grids.

  • Grid line1:52

Select grids and gridlines to modify properties like depth, view plane, and line extensions in Tekla Structures (Concrete), and note that removing a gridline is not possible.

  • View3:23

Explore creating and managing views in Tekla Structures. Learn to set up plan and elevation views, name grids, and define view properties using points on the work plane.

  • View Arrangement and switching1:56

Learn to arrange Tekla Structures views and manage multiple windows for efficient modeling. Switch between 3D and plane views using keyboard shortcuts like control p, and close unused views.

  • Navigate1:02

Navigate by rotating around the center point of rotation, using the middle mouse button and the keyboard control to set the viewpoint.

Description

In this Course you will learn how to model all concrete elements

(column, beam, polybeam, Panel, slab, pad footing and strip Footing)

you will learn how to edit the elements (Chamfer, move, copy and mirror)

you will learn how to add views, controll the view, display, work area and others)

You will learn how to add Reinforcement for Footings, columns (Rectangular and Circular) beam, panel and slab.

And then, we are going to model a building and add reinforcement to all elements.

After modeling, we will create Bill of quantities tables, and create general arrangement drawings.
