I have been exploring myself, my spirituality, and my beliefs my entire life. More than 25 years ago, I began an unlikely and lifelong friendship with a Shaman. That friendship ultimately led not only to my beliefs about the Universe (Higher Power, Spirit, God - whatever name you prefer) but it also planted the seed that grew into my interest in plant medicine and energy work.
I began reading tarot more than a dozen years ago. It started as a fluke -- a friend wanted to learn to read tarot and I agreed to go with her to take lessons. We quickly realized that I have a knack for intuitive readings.
While some people prefer to sit quietly as the cards are read to them, others prefer a more interactive reading. I will often ask questions that allow me to drill down into the meaning of a card and, ultimately, offer you a more in-depth and detailed reading. In many instances, my tarot readings end up feeling a lot like a therapy session, providing my clients with insight into themselves, their pasts, their decisions, and their behaviors that may have not come to light otherwise.
At some point in my adult life, when my process of Becoming truly began, I discovered my love for gardening - for planting, nurturing, and growing. I began to relate to the energy of the plants in my garden and in my yard, and to understand their many powers.
I'm a Virgo so, while I'm incredibly "woo-woo" (my husband's endearing term), I am also very logical and analytical; thus, I hold two business-related Master's degrees. Years after earning those degrees, I decided to return to school for Associate degrees in both Herbalism and Aromatherapy.
I believe that everything is about energy. The messages in the tarot comes from the energy of the Universe and the Spirit Guides - both mine and those of the Seeker. The medicine of plants comes from the energy of those plants. I believe that dis-ease is often rooted in our own energies, the energy of our environment, or the energies of those with whom we surround ourselves. One of the first steps to healing is to work toward balancing those energies.
