  • Tango Therapy is Not Dance, But a Scientific Path to Transformation3:51

This introductory video outlines the structure, scope, and methodological background of the Neurotango® Practitioner training.

Human learning and adaptation are fundamentally based on movement, sensory perception, and embodied experience. Motor activity, posture, rhythm, and spatial interaction provide continuous sensory input that is processed, integrated, and stored by the nervous system. These embodied experiences contribute to behavioral regulation, emotional processing, and functional adaptation in everyday life.

Many regulatory processes within the body and brain operate autonomously and outside conscious control. In the presence of neurological, psychological, or psychosomatic conditions, these automatic patterns may become dysfunctional, leading to persistent symptoms or maladaptive behaviors.

The Neurotango® framework applies structured movement and music-based embodiment techniques to address these processes. Through specific, modulated movement patterns, participants learn to observe functional limitations, influence sensorimotor regulation, and support the development of alternative movement and response patterns. The focus lies on working with underlying functional mechanisms rather than exclusively addressing symptom expression.

The training consists of eight modules and is designed for professionals working in therapeutic, medical, educational, or coaching contexts. It provides a structured introduction to the principles, applications, and clinical considerations of Neurotango® techniques.

In this video, you will receive an overview of the content and objectives of the eight training modules, as well as their practical relevance for professional application.

  • Inclusive Healing: The Three Holistic Tools for Every Patient7:41

This video seminar introduces the tools and methodological principles of the Neurotango® framework for application in therapeutic and clinical contexts.

The Neurotango® approach is designed to support inclusive movement-based interventions by allowing structured participation across a wide range of physical, psychological, and neurological conditions. All Neuro-Technical Tools are adaptable for seated, assisted, or supine positions, enabling safe participation for individuals with limited mobility.

For individuals with psychological limitations, the framework includes specifically developed preparatory tools that address aspects such as interpersonal distance, touch tolerance, eye contact, and orientation within social and spatial contexts. These tools support gradual engagement and facilitate participation without imposing premature interpersonal demands.

For neurological populations, the training incorporates preparatory exercises aimed at activating neuro-motor and neuro-cognitive processes. These exercises serve as a functional bridge, enabling patients to participate in movement-based activities in a structured and regulated manner.

A defining characteristic of this tool-based Tango therapy concept is its structured differentiation into three categories of tools. In addition to general movement tools, the framework includes specialized preparatory tools addressing the specific functional requirements of neurological and psychological target groups. Movement and music-based exercises are systematically complemented by these preparatory elements.

This structure allows Tango therapy to be applied across diverse clinical and therapeutic populations. The video further explains the challenges encountered in Tango therapy approaches that do not integrate such preparatory tools, particularly in psychological and neurological contexts.
