Description
Congratulations on completing the Tang Soo DO Intermediate Course!! You've come a long way so far and should feel confident in the skills you have developed. Your balance, agility, focus, and fitness level should have improved by this time.
In the Advanced Course, you move on to advanced techniques that will prepare you for black belt. The forms are longer and more difficult with changes in speed, tempo, and direction, and the techniques will require your strictest attention to detail. You will also begin to use weapons, which are an extension of your body, building coordination and strength.
Everything you have learned in the basic and intermediate courses builds upon one another to prepare you for this course. If you have not put in the time, practice, work, and sweat to truly master the basic and intermediate courses, you will find this course much more difficult. Remember, you must build your skills on a solid foundation, not on sand!
Once you have successfully completed this advanced course you should have the skills and knowledge to test for black belt in the art of Tang Soo Do. From this point, you should take all that you have learned and make it your own, changing and adapting things to suit your physical limitations, mindset, and future goals. Reaching black belt level only means you have mastered the basics of a system, now is when the true learning and development begins, and it is a lifetime journey!
