This is an Introduction to the first segment of the program which is stationary ball-handling. These workouts are totally customizable by the player. Pull from this list to build your own personal workout, it is very important to remember that you want to build your workout around your skill level and conditioning level. For example, you could choose 5 of these drills to do for the day. You could set a goal for yourself of doing each drill for a set number of times, OR a set amount of time.
Build your ball-handling and finishing skills by warming up the hands with finger and palm drills and slapping the basketball to develop feel and power.
Warm up with the around the head move by taking the basketball around your head at a comfortable pace, focusing on basic ball-handling.
Develop your ball-handling rhythm by practicing the around the waist wrap, guiding the ball around your waist to build feel for the basketball.
Learn a no-dribble figure-8 drill that moves the ball around the legs in a figure-8 motion to enhance ball-handling and finishing.
Improve ball handling with low fingertip dribbles while maintaining a low athletic stance and head up; practice with both hands to keep the ball low and controlled.
Master pound dribbles to boost ball-handling and finishing, focusing on a strong base, knee stance, and switching hands in a pre-workout drill.
