White Crane Spreads Wings is a balance practice tai chi movement, front leg always stay with “empty step” and back leg hold on your balance, take time to practice, and remember to relax your shoulders, keep your breaths good.

Brush knee and twist step, focus on weight shift and relax shoulder, take time to learn and practice. at first, you may feel confused with your arms, you may want to do the three steps in the video, and try it over and over again, First watch and then learn, if you need more time to learn, go ahead click the timer below to jump to Step 2 learn again, if you still confuse with your movement, take a break, come to try it n the second day, don't push yourself too hard, remember just relax and you will get into it easy, that is the key of Tai Chi.normally take everyone three-time practice to get to know this movement. so if this is your first time and you got it, you are smart than I am, if you need a second or third time, you just the same as me, we all start the beginner, believe yourself, take time, enjoy it!

太極 Play the Lute手揮琵琶— Beginner Tai Chi,24 forms Tai Chi
Play the Lute is one of the easy movement in 24 forms tai chi, what you need focus on is the front leg with heel touch floor and empty step, empty step meaning your back leg holding on all your balance and a front leg just touch the floor with the heel, same with both sides. I also just want you to know this is a great Tai Chi movement to improve your balance.so take time to enjoy it.

Step back and whirl arm, find a little larger space before practice this movement.this movement still work on Corporation the arms and steps, you may want to separate lean arms and steps, then put them together, this is only step back movement in this form, try to make movement flow and relax, believe yourself you can do it.

太極 Grasping the bird’s tail 攬雀尾— Beginner Tai Chi, 24 Forms Tai Chi
Grasping the bird’s tail is a great tai chi movement for physical coordination practice. Single whip, one of the classic Tai Chi movement, first movement with the hook hand, put your finger tips together as hook something up and another hand pushes out. High Pet on Horse, High stand movement, If you look for a movement that less squat down, this would be the wonderful one for you. you can sit on the chair practice this movement if you want. but always helps when you stay focus practice, take a "deep and slow" breath in while the arm goes backward, and push hand back in the front as breath out, imagine that flow free breathe you take to connect with relaxing movement, that is the BEST moment for the mind and body cooperation. Getting ready for the biggest challenge in the 24 forms. balance, core strength mostly coordination. flow and focus when you practice this movement start with a low kick to build the balance first, once you feel comfortable with what you do, see if you can get relax while you practice and try to no hold on the breaths. When rise up the knee and arm, take a breath in, and breath out with a leg kick out. believe yourself and keep practice, time will tell the progress. Enjoy it.

Punch ear with both fists, as you know Tai Chi is also the martial arts, so base on the name of this movement you could imagine how it works. let's get into it, We know the main thing that we focus on is coordination and breathing when you practice Tai Chi, so is this movement, step out as your rear leg push ground to shift weight, and drop down the hands to the waist, draw the circle back open arms and weight shift to the front leg, turn the palm to fists during the weight shift to the front, and imagine the target of fists are the other people's ears. and take a breath in shift weight back to the rear leg, breath out shift forward, then come again. just remember work on coordination with breathing and movement, you can do it. keep going...

太極 Four Corners 左右穿梭 — Beginner Tai Chi,24 forms Tai Chi
Four Corners is one of the representative Martial arts movement in 24 forms, It may also confuse while you practice it with the hands at first, I am here to help you. for example, 1. Set the step as the left leg is front leg and right leg is the rear leg. 2. Right hand up and left hand down holding the ball and put on the right side of the body This will be the position to get ready. 3. Next is shift weight to the front leg(left) 4. And left-hand up the head, the right hand pushes forward. image left-hand block and right-hand attack at the same time. same with another side, but everything is reverse. I know this sounds crazy, quit may be the easy option for you right now, but I believe you can do it, and you should believe yourself. take a deep breath, let's keep practice.

太極 Needle at sea bottom 海底針 — Beginner Tai Chi,24 forms Tai Chi
Needle at sea bottom, Image you put a Needle down to the bottom of the sea, slowly and gently. let's work on the movement first. The front leg is the Empty step. (empty step means leave the weight on the rear leg, with the front toes gently touch the grand) great physical balance practice. You may feel tired with one leg while you just practice one side, so the best way to do is switch to both sides. Arms may confuse at first, but here is a tip, your hand and leg just like the opposite when you walk as a left arm with right leg, take a breathe in when you start the movement, and breathe out, put needle at the sea bottom! slow follow the steps, Watch, Learn, and Practice. this is how I got to learn Tai Chi when I was in the beginner! If I can do it, you can!

太極 Fan Back 閃通臂— Beginner Tai Chi,24 forms Tai Chi
Another Classic Martial arts movement in Tai Chi--Fan Back. Up hand protect the head, and down hand push forward as push away someone. Offense and Defense happen at the same time in one movement. This is the reason that I like martial arts so much, what a smart movement. Alright, let's move on, both arms swing at the same time and push hands out, I changed a little bit technique while we practice, actually, up hand as grab arm pull in and down hand push out. you will see it in the full 24 forms, but in here we practice in different ways. breathe in as swing the arms, and breathe out shift weight and push hands out. Easy is the key while we practice, and then we talk about technique, keep it going guys, you almost there!

Turn deflect dodge punch is the most difficult movement in this whole 24 forms. If you decide to quit right now. I won't blame you. The experience I taught this movement in my class before, it took every beginner a couple classes to figure it out. But after they took time to practice, until they can do it by themselves, my students were feeling accomplished. And this is another classic martial arts movement in 24 forms Tai Chi, aren't you want to discover it before you decide to quit?! Here is what this movement looks, cover right arm then punches with the back of the fist then shift weight with left palm grab the collar and punch the right fist out. What a great movement with martial arts technique, it may take time to get there, but it is worth it!

I just want to mention the last movement (turn deflect dodge punch) before we start this one., how was the last movement go guys?! you still want to continue lol! Don't worry, here is what you like to hear. A nice easy movement-- Closing up. If the difficulty level of the last movement is 10, and this is 2. I guarantee you, you will not need me to say anything while you practice this movement. after you watch, you will know how to practice, just that easy. anyway, short tip for this movement is, inhale hands pull back, and exhale push hands forward, enjoy it!

太極 Cross hands十字手 — Beginner Tai Chi,24 forms Tai Chi
One of the very last two movements --- Cross hands. If you want to work on the thighs, here you have it, this movement will help the thighs muscle tighter and stronger. step out wider and open up the arms, drop down the legs, let the thighs hold tight, toes grab the floor keep the balance, movement feels like sitting on the chair and remember to keep your knees safe, don't let the knees over the toes, and cross hands together, drop the hands down. inhale with arms open up, exhale hands cross and drop hands down. If you are going to work on the thighs, do 10 times each side with slow-moving, including the breathing together. have fun guys!
