Description
This course of the Filipino language is comprised of Filipino/Tagalog lessons with vocabularies for beginners and of Filipino/Tagalog phrases for both beginners and intermediate learners. If you're looking to learn more essential phrases, this course is a fit to practice your speaking and listening skills. I understand that out there native speakers will talk the usual pace words are pronounced, so with that in mind, not only I say the words and phrases slower and often in syllables for beginners to clearly understand the proper diction specially if it is needed but I also speak the usual pace the words and phrases are spoken.
Most of the sections in this course start with vocabulary words so you'll be able to easily recognize them in the phrases.
ALONG WITH VOCABULARY WORDS AND PHRASES YOU'LL ALSO LEARN —
- Honorifics used in Filipino/Tagalog to politely converse with the elderly or to someone not within your age group.
- Po and opo with examples of using both to show respect and including po on the same phrases in the course so you can confidently use the phrases with the proper placement of po when speaking to the elderly.
- Commonly asked questions when ordering food at the bakery, fast food and during commute when traveling along with useful phrases for guests to interact with the host during mealtime.
- Extra lessons are included on how to say the days of the week and months in Filipino. Numbers 1 to 100 are included as well.
- Review after the lessons on each section before the short quizzes.
- A PDF after the lessons to download and print that you can carry with you for a quick reference.
I hope to see you inside the course! I'll be glad to be part of your learning journey.

Instructor
Hi there. I'm Precy Anza. I was born in Central Luzon in the Philippines and grew up on the 7th largest island in the country. I am currently living in the US and I have a YouTube channel with video lessons focusing on Filipino/Tagalog language and Ilocano. I also write on the same niche from beginner friendly topics to sentence structure, phrases, affixes, Tagalog markers, Filipino culture and a lot more.
I love learning languages myself and I understand the time and patience it takes because it isn't easy, so I always keep that in mind and I make my articles and video lessons as easy as possible. Now here I am on Udemy with a Filipino/Tagalog course that I know will be beneficial on your learning journey.
