Prevent mold contamination by complete sterilization of the grow mixture, use masks and clean surfaces, and monitor for white mycelium; discard bags showing mold to avoid contamination.
Inoculate sterilized grow bags with grain spawn only after they cool, under sterile gloves and alcohol-wiped surfaces; seal airtight with an impulse sealer or tight ties to prevent contamination.
