Meet your teacher. Who is this course for?
What are we going to learn on this course?
What are the most basic components that each synthesizer has? How does each component work?
Sound carriers. Oscillator is what makes a synth go *bleep*.
Hands-free automation. A modulator gives movement to anything.
A filter is what makes a synth sounding darker or brighter.
The sound-shaping powerhouse. Makes sounds shorter or longer.
The "mouth" of a synth. This is what sends the sound into the outer world.
White noise, pink noise, brown noise, all kinds of noise! :)
What are the common synth FXs like Reverb, Delay, and what each one can do to your sound.
Space, the final frontier... Reverb makes a synth sounding ambient.
Hello-ello-lo-o-o-o... Delay is what makes a synth echo over time.
Chorus, flanger, phaser, all those 80's sounds.
The Filth & Dirt. Distortion makes synths sounding aggressive.
The keyboard, modwheel, pitch bender, etc... How to play notes.
Various types of polyphony decide how many notes you can play at the same time.
Introducing our synth selection. It's important to remember that his is just a personal choice. You can do everything that follows with you own preferred synths.
Bass, Leads, Pads, ARPs, Percussion. Let's learn what each type of sound is all about.

This course teaches the fundamental basics of working with synthesizers and how to create various sounds with them.
Learn how to recognize and work with synth components such as oscillator, filter, LFO, envelope, etc. During the course the students will also learn which effects are most commonly used with synthesizers in order to enhance the sonic qualities of various synth patches.
We will start by learning all there is to know about the 5 most essential synth components and what it is that each one of them can do in order to shape your sound.
After the components, we will turn our attention to basic SFX that are commonly used with synthesizers (reverb, delay, modulation etc...) and how we can utilize them in order to make our synth patches sounding bigger.
The course shows all the necessary steps to create various types of most common synth sounds, such as bass, leads, pads, short plucked and arpeggio sounds, as well as various types of synth percussion.
Additionally, the students will be presented with the basics of modular synthesis environment and how to build their own synths with various selection of components, which they can use in order to build sound patches.
By the end of this course, students will have the basic knowledge and understanding on how to create any type of sound on any type of synthesizer.
